yeah, i'm excited. haven't seen them in almost 12 years or so. should be a good show.
i'll likely be that guy who screams at them only to play the slow songs "off that album that no one bought."

Seeing them in Hartford on Friday. Never seen Pearl Jam in concert so even though I've never been a huge fan, figured I should see them at least once.
I'm being dragged to a damn Coldplay concert there in a few weeks too.
Can't wait for NIN (http://www.antiquiet.com/features/videos/2008/06/new-nine-inch-nails-rehearsal-video/)(<---1,000,000 Rehearsal) ... and then 2 Skinnee J's in NYC though.
Jaelousy doesn't even begin to describe..

Funny concert story since it's kind of on topic:
A month or two ago I bought balcony STP tickets at Mohegan Sun since I was staying there for a few days (the GF thought Scott Weiland was hot). So we get our balcony seats and the people in front of me are dry humping each other and the dude's head was against my knee. I flipped out and almost got in a fight, so the better half says we should leave.
So we're walking out and one the ushers at the gates, who must have been at least 80 years old, asks why we're leaving. So I tell her why, and she says, "wait here for a minute." Comes back with first row seat tickets. Must have been a VIP section because there was not one person in the first row with us.
The whole concert Weiland and whoever the lead guitar guy is just jammed for us, probably thinking we paid mad loot to see them.
GF afterwards:
"WTF happened to Scott Weiland? He looks like Nicole Ritchie, except more cracked out!" Dude really does look like he's about to die. I felt better about myself afterwards.
Scott Weiland will rule wether he looks like Meryl Streep or Christmas.

They rocked, no doubt. I walked in thinking they would be as bad as Velvet Revolver live. I'll edit this later with before and afters when I can find my camera.

okay, okay! and camera phone FTL, but the last time i took my camera to a concert it got smashed. much like i was last night (hence my proclivity to tongue extension). When they started playing Alive, people went apeshit. It was spectacular.

I really really really want to got to Pitchfork in Chicago but I have to like be responsible and stuff.

yeah, unfortunately, i'm missing the shows on the 9th for my sister's birthday. gotta head back down to DC, but I've already seen Chromeo, Roots, and Radiohead (not that I wouldn't love to see them again). Friday's lineup is boner-inducing.

I must be getting old, the thought of going to a concert doesn't even appeal to me anymore. Just seems like a giant waste of money.

1)
one guy bails = i get a free ticket.
2) I'm sorry to hear that. Good concerts are a huge rush for me. Such a good time.
It is a money drain, I'll admit, but I go to concerts all the time. At least a couple big ones a month, not counting the tiny local shows I go to see with my or my boyfriend's bands. Luckily, I get a lot of free tickets. But I like the energy of a good crowd and hey, it gets me out of the house.
Next big concert for me is Mayhem Fest with Dragonforce, Disturbed, Slipknot, Mastodon, Machinehead, Underoath, Five Finger Death Punch, et cetera... Since it's in an outdoor amphitheater, I'm going to die of heat exhaustion. But it's okay.
