There's a whole slew of them out there of different types. Original ebows, Banthis ranger ebows, Wavedancer ebows are all permablessed. The black oak poison elemental bows are the only ones that are NOT permablessed.

Originals probably go for like 300m and up. Ranger style like 150ish? Wavedancer had some go as low as 80m or so.

To clarify all the magical bows that been made...

After archery came out, an auction had 5 bows called "an elemental bow of XXXX" back in the day when the only flare types were fire, ice, acid, electricity, and impact. They are all 10x weapons basically.

Uska a couple years ago released a handful of bows at Anfelt and one at Ciston's auction to benefit the troops. I think the total is 6 of them. They are 0x weapons (which is really bad for DS for archers), and the enchant is based on level, with only rangers able to get past 5x.

I made a slew of varying types for the WaveDancer, releasing 18 in total, 3 of each type.

The arrow making bows came in 3 types, flaring (all the flare types we have now, and the chance of flaring is much greater than 10 percent, contrary to the prior posts), randomly damage weighted, and just arrows. All the arrows range from +1 to +30, and with the bows being +20, its a +21 to +50 weapon.

The others were chaos bows (varies in enchant, highly sighted, morphs), racial bows (nicely sighted for most, awesome for halflings and sylvans), and the speed crossbows (cock in 3 seconds).

So...

Enjoy em. Which ever one you have, I think Banthis's, Uska's, and mine are all comparable.

Bow: a deringo and horn composite bow ~ Dramatic layers of black-edged pale deringo are fitted precisely with thin layers of horn, the combination providing a strong draw and unrivaled tensile strength. Tiny emerald chips are strewn across the limbs of the bow, set flush with the surface of the wood. At first the gems seem to be scattered randomly but slowly the eye makes sense of the design, realizing the each of the emeralds forms the eye of a wolf, the highly stylized depictions flowing into each other in astonishing complexity. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

I own the 6x speed heavy crossbow. Though I tend to call it the mechanical crossbow, which isn't to be confused from the mechanical flaring ebow-crossbow that was made if I recall the one or two.

Mine is simply 6x, but doesn't force any stance change while cocking and cocks in 3 seconds regardless of strength bonus.

Best crossbow out there in my opinion..Nicely enchanted for the DS and fast as well. Granted anyone with haste could do better...Bar none the better crossbows out there made "stock" I think.

One of the mechanical crossbows, went from Doppel to Arshwikk to me, and I sold it to Suessimifoog.

a gold-veined glowbark siege arbalest, it is 5.5x base enchant, and creates 2x bolts with mechanical flares that flare on every hit in the same location the bolt hits

- self ammo crossbow
- +27 heavy crossbow
- makes +10 bolts with mech flares
- the bolts flare every shot, and in the same area you hit, unless that area was destroyed.
- You see a gold-veined glowbark siege arbalest which is cocked and loaded with a blade-tipped slender black bolt.
Crafted from a fine piece of glowbark, the siege arbalest has been meticulously sanded, stained a deep black, and polished to a high gloss by a skilled elven bowyer. A narrow channel, dusted with bits of golden fletchings, runs down the length of the tiller. A well-oiled pulley and tackle constructed from vaalorn is designed for the rapid cocking and discharging of missiles. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
