At least we can have a party at Ilvane's, now, where she wouldn't call the cops on the celebrators.

I, for one, was actually pretty disappointed with the series.
Not because I'm a Lakers fan, but because it just didn't have the same AWESOME FACTOR that I remember when I watched bird and magic play.
I was like, 6, but still . . .

hehe, I hate NBA basketball. But congrats to whoever is happy about whoever won (I take it the celts did)
Maybe it'll help make up for the absolute shame stemming from when NY shat all over New England this January.

even though I hate the lakers, tonight's game was total bush league. The laker's phoned that one in.

In a way it makes me more pissed that the Patriots blew it. They ruined the trifecta :(

Correction, the Giants ruined it. They were just the better team.
I’m not a huge sports fan but this past weekend into this week has been amazing. Euro Cup, Tiger Woods sudden death and the Celtics pwning tonight.

The Patriots just beefed themselves in the ass the whole game.

It would have been nice if the Pats had won, especially with the undefeated regular season.
But the Celtics winning somehow is just as awesome, if not more. My dad loved, loved the Celtics. When I was a kid we used to watch and go to games, I went to California to see my dad on a bet my uncle and him had on the Laker/Celtics game. Celtics won, and I got flown to California free, courtesy of my uncle, to go see my dad..heh, it was cool. I know, stupid sentimental stuff, but it was pretty cool at the time(I was 9)
He would have loved to have seen this team. They were pretty incredible this year.

I'm so glad that now for the next howevermany months when I turn to TNT to watch my Law & Order, Without a Trace, Cold Case, or X-Files, I will get those, and not STUPID CRAP BASKETBALL. So hurrah :)

I enjoyed watching Kobe go down in flames. I crave his tears like he craves white women.
Too bad. Now I wont be able to read a Bill Simmons column for the next 6 months.

Celtics in 6.:smug:
Also, two relevant stat lines:
Kobe Bryant: 25.7 PPG, 5.0 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 steals, 2 team wins vs. Boston, -8.3 average margin.
LeBron James: 26.7 PPG, 7.6, 6.4, 2.1, 3 team wins vs. Boston with Damon Jones shooting threes, +1.1 average margin.
Suck on that, Mark Jackson, if you're done fellating Mr. Bryant.

I'll say one thing: Paul Pierce is awesome. I never realized he was that good until I saw the Finals.
Lakers had no chance to win this without Andrew Bynum. But last night's game was terrible. It was like the LA Clippers were playing instead of the Lakers.

When did Bynum become young Shaq?

Basketball is fixed anyways who cares. Nice to see Garnet be on a team and win though.

I used to like Garnett, but this year he's been an egotistical prick just like the rest of them. Fuck'em.
