This is thread for all the types of claidhmores and claid like weapons out there in current *active* existence. If you know of one you can post it's stats and possibly owner also.

Start things off.

You remove a translucent black glaes claidhmore from in your enveloping dark cloak.

>l claid
Crafted from sturdy black glaes, this claidhmore shows clear signs of expert dwarven craftsmanship. An uncut chunk of blood red ruby set into the pommel is the only relief from the otherwise all black weapon. Below the wickedly spiked quillions, the flat of the blade is etched with a single word, "Nemesis."

Careful examination indicates the black glaes claidhmore has a base strength of 99 and a base durability of 265. You also determine the current integrity of the black glaes claidhmore to be at 100.0%.

18 pounds or so.

3x, newstyle, currently active.

I could type, copy , and paste all day long, and still not ever scratch the surface. I'll start on this later if I feel like it. I know the names, owners and stats of about 15 old style claids, and countless new style.

Right now, I own "an eonake claidhmore". 4x, new style, 7 pounds.

a razor-sharp mithril claidhmore - Saw Triex with it around town.

If memory serves, the enchant is +8 (ie, -2), old style, 16lbs

Well since you said all I might as well throw my crappy ones out there.

A claidhmore - Old style yay
An aquamarine claidhmore - new style 6lbs
and one of the orange handled with black stripes claidhmore. -I'll edit later.

I'm currently using this one:

a black laen claidhmore

You see a glyph-like mark on the laen claidhmore:

/\
.| |.
{= ][ =}
_) (_
||
)(
"Leviathan" is written below the mark in small, light writing.

It has 10 points of extra weighting, as is well known for having such, having been listed on Krakii and other claid repositories for years.

J>look in scabbard
In the xenium scabbard you see a a xenium hilted serrated laen claidhmore.

J>get claidh
You remove a xenium hilted serrated laen claidhmore from in your xenium scabbard.

J>weigh claidh
You carefully examine the serrated laen claidhmore and determine that the weight is about 5 pounds.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

J>insp claidh
You carefully inspect your serrated laen claidhmore.
After a careful inspection you determine that a xenium hilted serrated laen claidhmore requires skill in twohanded weapons to use effectively. It appears to be a modified twohanded sword.
You remember that you registered this item a couple months ago.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of glaes.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

J>assess claidh
You assess the claidhmore for structural weaknesses and strengths.
Careful examination indicates the serrated laen claidhmore has a base strength of 99 and a base durability of 265. You also determine the current integrity of the serrated laen claidhmore to be at 100.0%.
You heft the weapon a few times...but note nothing unusual about it.
Roundtime: 25 sec.

3x Oldstyle (+5), 5 Pounds, Laen, Mine.

can you post an assess of this claid?

also i got a 4x old style 50 point crit claid, which is the hardest critting in the lands.
Besides i know of only one better then mine and though its owner is very reliable, i don't know it's stats are as he claims 6x old style and 60 points of crit weighting, i offered him my left nut for it and he wouldn't budge. i don't think he will ever sell. and he will remain nameless unless he wants to reveal himself.

a notched shock-infantry claidhmore

After a careful inspection you determine that a notched shock-infantry claidhmore requires skill in twohanded weapons to use effectively.

Roundtime: 5 sec.

You carefully examine the shock-infantry claidhmore and determine that the weight is about 12 pounds.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

Anyone know if this one is worthless? I don't know anything about claidhmores. I think I found it at the pawn a couple years ago and it has been in my locker since. Looks like it was from EG 2006. No glyph.

a serrated invar claidhmore - red beam?, crit-weighted new style, 15 lbs

a razor sharp skull-pommelled claidhmore - crit-weighted new style, actioned skull, 13 lbs

a huge black jagged-edged claidhmore with a pair of silvered outstretched wings forming the guard - no idea -

Like yours, this one assesses as heavy crit weighting, as you are assessing the overage.

I sold it in '99 when I left for college for something like $850. Yeah, probably could have gotten more, but I was desperate for cash.

I think Nephrenia paid 11 mil for it at the auction over the summer of 98? Something in that ballpark.

Inflation much?

burnished vultite claidhmore, 4x newstyle, about 14lbs

With an edge to give a razor pause and a flawless silvery surface that reflects light like a mirror, the blade of this magnificent weapon embodies beauty and efficiency. A simple black vultite crossguard curves to two sharp points that run almost parallel to the blade, and the ebonwood hilt is wrapped in a fine black mithril wire that provides additional purchase.

Kinshack used it for some time from what I understand.

I'm in the market for a better claid if anyone out there wants to get rid of theirs. I'll pay more than Khariz :)

I sold an old-style "an imflass claidhmore" a few years ago. Had a show. Haven't seen it in quite some time. I'd never lightened it, and it weighed 7 pounds without ever having been lightened, at that. I feel like I sold it to either Nathan, Kraniak or Yorvil. Edit: Not entirely certain though, all my old logs are on a Pentium II laptop... I hope it's still around somewhere and being put to good use.

In the past four weeks I don't think I've played more than 6 hours, cumulatively, of GemStone. Within that time, I've found four enhancives. One of them being an enhancive steam flaring hammer with an enchant twice as powerful as the magical metal it's made out of (faenor.)

If the mechanics are there and the possibility exists, then at the rate I've been seeing really bizarre things appear, I'd expect to see some really funky critter drops. There's probably been all sorts of cool things fed back into the treasure generator/lost to the janitor, I'm certain.

Most of you already know about it, but for those that don't here she is.

a white shaalk claidhmore 4x oldstyle, incredible weighting on top of that of a normal claidhmore. Some will debate that fact, but having compared to other claids you will never convince me otherwise. Oh, and it assesses like this:

You swap your white shaalk claidhmore from your left to your right hand.
>assess my claid
You assess the claidhmore for structural weaknesses and strengths.

Careful examination indicates the white shaalk claidhmore has a base strength of 99 and a base durability of 290. You also determine the current integrity of the white shaalk claidhmore to be at 100.0%.

Checking out the claidhmore, it looks like it's incredibly weighted to inflict more critical blows.

Roundtime: 23 sec.
