theres a lot of reasons that make this desirable for all sorts of classes and builds. at the baseline, extra strength is always nice for anyone, for example: it can be used to address encumbrance issues, AS, swing timers, (if i recall, ranged weapon users also gain a benefit from strength) among other things. con, i believe helps with HealthPoints, redux, certain resistances, so on. please correct me if im wrong.

brawling added in can also play several different roles. for flat out melee characters that use brawling as a main form of hunting, the benefits are obvious. voln fu users can also garner extra benefits. casters that cast with an open hand also gain defensive bonuses. i BELIEVE the enhancive bonus from the brawling also allows the user to enjoy weaponskill calculations in the redux formula, again- please correct me if im wrong.

also, being pinworn, its essentially plug and play bonuses. you have everything to gain, and you sacrifice nothing (except for perhaps silver and coveted inventory space).

beyond that, im sure there are plenty of other reasons not mentioned that other people may want to use it for. at any rate, i hope that satiates some of the curiosity.
