Well, what do you all think about this:

Gleaming mithril greathelm
Mithril enchant, permanent crush resistance (can't tell the %, anyone know how to find out?) and temp somewhat damage padded.

Any ideas on value?

The only way to find out is a long drawn out test.

If it covers the head/neck it'll be worth more than just head protection.

Maybe 500k-ish?

Oh, and another question... the loresung value is 1.35m... Where are these values coming from? What, are bard songs supposed to scan pc threads to get a fair market value? They seem pretty arbitrary to me.

It's just what the GM inputs into the item info, similiar to what the pawn/gemshop appraises things for. It's not based on actual market values.
