For this weekend, you can buy Red Orchestra from Steam for $4.99.
What is Red Orchestra? It's a realism-based FPS set on the Eastern Front during WWII. The gameplay is designed around combined arms, with simulation-style tanks and transport vehicles working side-by-side with infantry filling a variety of roles, from the ordinary rifleman up to squad commanders who can call in artillery missions. I've been playing it tonight, and it does a lot of things right. The map design is top-notch, the weapons are scrupulously recreated, and team tactics are the order of the day... when one shot can kill you, it doesn't pay to be a lone wolf.
I recommend checking it out. If someone buys it, they get gift passes allowing someone else to play the game for free for ten days, so if anyone is hesitant, just get somebody else to pony up the five bucks. : D
