View Full Version : Auto-Hide to system tray or background...
I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that could be used to auto-hide a program (window) to the system tray, or into the background with the stroke of a key (like F11 or crl+h), so that say incase my boss was comeing and i was....playing GS i could hit this hotkey and the WizardFE would minimize to the system tray or just auto-hide so that you couldnt see it on the screen or the task bar.

Just bring a big window up right behind the wizard FE window and ALT+TAB out when someone's coming. Works like a charm.
Yes, but you see, when i do that you can still see the program open in the Task Bar....i want it to HIDE so yo ucant see it there...thats why i say hide to background or system tray...because my Uncle is my boss, and he likes to look at my computer and see what i got going, but he doesnt go into Task Manager, he just looks at on screen, so open windows...

I use litestep as a shell. Its fully customizible. To the point where you don't even need a task bar.

There's a Taskbar Manager at download.com but it doesn't have hotkeys as far as I know. Hides windows and you can set it to restart or shutdown after a certain amount of time or at a specified time.

Just use the tab feature and set the tool bar to hide.
