Ok two complaints!

One is Basso. We all know him, steals in the crypt. He's stolen from me and attacked friends of mine in front of me but you know what, to a point I still held respect for him. He was very good at what he did and I didn't really hate him. Then tonight happened...

I'll sum it up. Basso stole from me, Basso called me ugly. basso harrased some more.. I left game, he attacked my friend Staerin. That right there initiates PvP. Staerin stunned Basso. Basso reported.... that's where I lose respect for that shit. He fucking starts it and he goes and reports.

Here's where the gods piss me off.

Zyllah calls Staerin up and tells Staerin not to attack Basso, that the Crypt is a resting place and to take it to the boulder. What the hell, Staerin was defending himself. Basso as at the "resting place" stealing from people and attacking people and Staerin gets yelled at?

Bull shit.

Wow, Leloo is heated! Deep breaths! It sounds like the GM got a 1 sided story and jumped to conclusions.. did Staerin tell his side?

Yes and both Alarke and I reported back. Sounds like the GM is just a stupid bitch that can kiss my ass. God I hate GMs.

And the night just keeps getting worse...

Now we have Bhambi deciding it's cool to try to sanct the crypt 7053457567 times. Even though the demon there is preventing her sanct each time and she just keeps casting. Yes that makes you cool Bhambi, keep casting it.

Mind what folders you start threads in.

Bhambi should be reported for scrolling then. I find that her casting sanctuary is laughable, since she dragged a friend of mine out of there the other day and casted several immobilizing spells on them, for sancting the Crypt.

And if you go read the cul-de-sac thread, I warned you all that I could see the Crypt was going to become the next crack down area, ever since a bunch of us were reporting Sabbat/Sterruz for their obnoxious behavior.

If anyone has a one-sided story, it's probably not the GM, who is capable of seeing and hearing everything that's going on. The crypt's just become another boulder or cul-de-sac for people that have nothing better to do than sit around and stir crap.

If Staerin's actually CAUGHT Basso stealing, it shouldn't be a problem. However...one case of stealing entitles one to ONE kill. The "cursed gem" bit doesn't work, especially in the crypt, because it might not actually be your cursed gem.

My advice? Avoid the crypt. Horrible place.

You really shouldn't be so angry at GM's, they have a lot to deal with and they constantly have to play mediator to players (right or wrong). They have to weigh things that happened before they were brought in and figure stuff out while dealing with who knows how much other stuff.

I feel for your friend, and agree that that guy sounds like a prick, but it wasn't the GM's fault.

Bhambi is a fucking idiot.

Leloo as I know the player of Basso I highly doubt he reported. He would not have done so unless given a good reason. You yourself said you logged out of the game and therefor did not see what happend, granted I did not either but i will give the player of Basso the bennifit of the doubt

and yes Bhambi is a fucking idiot

No, I caught him stealing. Like it was "You see Basso reach into your cloak and pull out a oaken wand". Basso actually shot Staerin with an arrow.

And on the thing about basso not reporting...

Here's the thing, I always found him to a be a thief (obviously) and I have stunned him several times but I held a certain amount of respect for him. I like when people play assholes and take the beating without crying. The fact is, he called the gods and that makes me lose all respect for him.

why stun when you can implode? They generally cry wolf pretty quickly to the GMs. The GMs won't do anything because stealing is initiating pvp. If some GM got mad at your friend for attacking Basso after Basso was stealing from him, they were wrong.

Unless you KNOW that Basso actually reported you.. then maybe you should give him the benefit of the doubt. GMs can watch rooms without someone reporting to them to do so.

Besides.. he's a thief... he can't be all bad :smug:

Perhaps Basso didn't report him, there is a chance. The question becomes why did they go for just Staerin? I stunned Basso too and no one said a word to me.

The problem I have with the system is that if one GM gives you a warning, you're basically screwed. Even feedback goes by the original GM's report, so there's really no appeal system. I've never had feedback do anything for me, even when it was proven that the GM was wrong.

ive never been warned to need feedback and I assure you I am one of the most antagonistic people in the game and cross the line in that respect quite often. Basso most likely shot him with a arrow for a reason... did he cast tremors point at him etc?

It's all cool between me and Basso now. I by accident got him killed (stunned him and someone imploded him) so I felt bad and decided to help him. I ended up stunning Dionisius twice cause he kept attacking Basso for no reason.. and now Dionisius says he's gonna kill me (lol)

The Edine, the difference with you, at least from the several times I've been actual witness, is that you do roleplay and aren't just needlessly casting at or attacking people because you can. You might be antagonistic, but at least it's clear that it's not personal or PvP.

I actually got out of my only GS warning...but due to a board moderator having been negligent and the person I was supposed to appeal to being completely unresponsive...

not actually due to my case.
