I decided to give a Warrior a go and would like to go with two weapon combat.

I just wanted to lay out my stats and show my training plan to see if any tweaking needed to be done or any advice can be given.

He is a giantman and just started him.

Normal (Bonus) ... Enhanced (Bonus)
Strength (STR): 90 (35) ... 90 (35)
Constitution (CON): 80 (25) ... 80 (25)
Dexterity (DEX): 40 (-10) ... 40 (-10)
Agility (AGI): 70 (5) ... 70 (5)
Discipline (DIS): 20 (-15) ... 20 (-15)
Aura (AUR): 90 (15) ... 90 (15)
Logic (LOG): 90 (15) ... 90 (15)
Intuition (INT): 40 (-5) ... 40 (-5)
Wisdom (WIS): 80 (15) ... 80 (15)
Influence (INF): 60 (10) ... 60 (10)

3x
Armor
Physical Training

2x
One Handed Edge
Two Weapon Combat
Combat Maneuvers
Dodging
Multiple Opponent Combat

1x
Swim
Climb
First Aid
Perception

If I find I am having more points as I level I may 3x something else I have doubled. This is just from what I could tell from starting out. I may drop first aid though if I decide on a Society to join. It won't be Voln but not sure if I want to join either of the other two with him.

If you're planning on taking of the new mechanics changes I suggest going claid or big pole. Numbers wise, it's better.

If you can pull that shit off, more power to you, my TWC warrior couldn't.

Yeah everyone mostly goes that way, I am just looking to do the best I can with two weapons and not worry about having the largest possible numbers with a different build.

I'm going to be honest, my TWC mstrike time IMPROVED.

With two morning stars, I used to hit two creatures at 8 seconds. 3 creatures at 11.

Now it's down to 7 for two, and 8 for three.

Well I have learned a little something seems to be I can pretty much double up in most things and have some points to do the things I listed in the 1x area. The initial plan does not carry through though but this is why I came here hoping for some advice a good leveling plan.

I am reconsidering my plan now but also tired so going to rest on it and see what I think later but am considering going OHE and Shield. So will have to change my training plan then and if I do take it, do I need to have dodging at all? I am thinking of going for a tower shield or whatever a large shield here is called.

TWC is absolutely doable and stacks up with every other weapon plan. THWs are only clearly superior to those who believe THWs are clearly superior.

The trouble with your plan is that if you just plug in skills at level 0, you (unknowingly) take advantage of interlevel training as follows: you are already level 0, so you are actually training "during" level 1, which gives you 6 available ranks of (for instance) Physical Training. If you "triple" it and train three times, you are charged 2 singled costs and 1 doubled cost for a total of 2 + 2 + 4 = 8 rather than 2 + 4 + 8 = 14 PTPs.

I would recommend:
3x
PF

2x
Armor
TWC
Dodge
CM
Edged

MOC as you can, and you may as well forget that other stuff for awhile. If you want 2x MOC all the way, you'll have to sacrifice something (I'd recommend PF to 2x and dodge to 1.5x, but it's still going to be tight).

.

If you do decide to go with a shield, dodge ranks are still useful. You don't "need" them, but I think you'll find there are many things in GemStone that while not "necessary" turn out to confer substantial benefits.

Thanks for the advice and I will be keeping this in mind. While I am in the 30 days still I think I may switch back and forth every couple levels just to see how things go.

I have been more considering the OHE/Shield combo now though because as my character I would like him to be able to just take hits or not however you look at that.
