Greetings Renian,
This afternoon I reviewed the details of your pending lockouts and have determined after review that the lockout was not warranted given the following facts:
1. You were running the bot in your home rather than the public; it wasn't a public disruption.
2. You were running the bot for your own character's use. As long as your bot is limited solely to your own characters, this isn't a problem.
3. You were attentive while using the bots. This is the critical component of the scripting policy, and you met it.
As such, I have removed the lockouts from the system. When you log in, please REPORT if your character isn't automatically returned to the game so that a GM can manually send you back. In addition it appears that your characters Tiad and Adokas both received a warning for scripting due to this incident. Please request a referral to have a GM remove the warnings on both characters from your record -- this is something I can't do unless you're logged in.
I apologize for the inconvenience you've been put through. While bots are a problem and have caused a disruption within the game, as long as they are kept for private, personal use and the user is attentive at all times during their use, they are not a violation of policy.
If you have any questions about my decision or actions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely,
SGM Isten
Good afternoon Renian/Jeffrey,
The feedback department has forwarded me your emails concerning lockout requests on your accounts.
In reviewing the situation, I see that SGM Isten has already emailed you to inform you that the lockouts have been lifted as they were not deemed warranted given the circumstances. Per Isten's email, the warnings received will also be removed, but as he noted, the characters need to be logged in for removal of the warnings. Any GM can take care of this, so you simply need to ASSIST and request a referral. (If you have not received his email, please ensure your play.net email forwarding is updated to your most current email address.)
Please accept my apology for this incident. I believe it was a result of a misunderstanding of our updated scripting policy, and we are taking steps to ensure the policy is more clearly explained to our staff members so that we can avoid incidents of this nature in the future.
Please let me know if there is anything further I can do to assist with this situation.
Best regards,
