So 'someone' used the laptop after washign their hands & 'some' water got in the keyboard.

Now it seems half the keys work & half don't. Any ideas or good places to get it looked at?

I'm pretty sure it can be fixed. It should have been shut off immediately though, I mean hell..couldn't they HEAR the crackling electricity when they got the water on it?

My brother accidentally spilled a huge cup of horchata over his laptop keyboard and he and his friend dismantled the whole thing and cleaned it with (I'm going to spell this wrong..) isobuterol alcohol and it worked fine. Just find someone in the phonebook who can help.

Since it's just water, there's a very good likelihood that it will work. If it was pop, you'd probably be boned.

Pop out the keys and use a hair dryer on the cool setting to dry the pad under the keys. Leave overnight.. and re-assemble the keys.

If you didn't leave it wet all day, it should work.

<<isobuterol alcohol>>

Isobutonal (isobutyl alcohol), presumably.

Well I took off a few keys & they don't seem to go back on the way a regular keyboard would. It's a Dell laptop, maybe it needs a special tool to put them back together or something?

Under the keys seems to be dry from what I can tell. Damn thing, I guess I'll take it in someplace & have it looked at if it doesn't kick back in.

Best buy is most likely going to fuck me if I take it there(hate those bastards), any other ideas?
