I'm not up for going through the mess of notes that I have, so here's what I posted on the officials. No one else has been able to someone one yet that I know of, they come from the Shien'tyr valence
You remove an iridescent labradorite stone from in your black marbrinus carryall.
>
You close a stylish black marbrinus carryall fastened with an ember-hued firestone.

Voodoo '725 my sto' to 'PREPARE 725', 'CAST AT my sto'.
You begin drawing a faint, twisting symbol while softly intoning the words for Minor Summoning...
Your spell is ready.
>
You gesture at an iridescent labradorite stone.
Your trace an arcane sigil over your stone while incanting. Your stone glows momentarily and you succeed in opening an interplanar rift from which you manage to pull an indolent deep black arashan.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
>
You feel at full magical power again.
>
The arashan's tentacles waver as it speaks quietly to itself in a deep, raspy voice; the language is clearly alien.
>ponder
You ponder.
>l at arash
Vaguely spider-like in appearance, the arashan is an eight-legged beast covered in long, wiry deep black hairs that constantly twitch. Each of its slender, segmented legs end in three toes, which splay 120 degrees apart making them adept at holding objects. The eyeless face of the arashan is only marked by the three black, ridged tentacles that circle its mouth and glisten in the ambient light.
You notice Sereg reach into your pockets and remove nothing.
You turn quickly and grab Sereg's wrist, but he had nothing in his hand.
An indolent deep black arashan notices Sereg reach suspiciously close to your pockets, and it responds by setting its facial tentacles to work, speedily weaving together a mass of sticky black thread which it spits at his hand.
... 20 points of damage!
Right hand slammed. Finger broken!
He is stunned!
The chaotic black webbing splashes up Sereg's arm and nearly covers his entire body!

You gesture.
A thick cloud of wisps gathers around you and quickly spreads to cover much of the surrounding area. The cloud solidifies and resolves into a sticky web.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
You command your deep black arashan to control a web.
You feel your deep black arashan tap into your mana in its attempt to control a web.
An indolent deep black arashan becomes a flurry of movement as it heads toward the web. Its facial tentacles thrash around rapidly, exuding viscous black silk-like tendrils that slither onto the web. The black strands weave their way into the framework of the web and distort it into a hideous, writhing black mass which bears no order to its structure.
>
The arashan lowers its thorax and abdomen as it stretches its eight legs out away from its body, then ripples its coarse deep black hair before returning to its original position.
just a tidbit from the evening. I had just recovered from a death and needed to summon again and this is what popped out on the second try. Sereg, Capalodius and Drigore all tried to summon from the Shien'tyr for quite some time but were unable to get one.

The arashan skitters about the area trying to find a few shadows to escape the overwhelming light. It hisses in a deep, haunting voice, "Thouirlywk oun shthourlthqui olp'ythwea eap! Oup yithei eap lthyro!"
An indolent deep black arashan scratches its forehead with a three-toed foot.
A light draft blows through the room and an indolent deep black arashan responds by twitching its long, bristly hair as if trying to capture the wind before it's gone.
The arashan lowers its thorax and abdomen as it stretches its eight legs out away from its body, then ripples its coarse deep black hair before returning to its original position.
An indolent deep black arashan slowly approaches a scarred deep red aishan with its wiry hairs twitching wildly. Satisfied, it backs away and speaks to itself in a hollow, raspy voice, "Lthyrth oun quorlthlyl." (it does this with any creature)

And as for the non-capped characters ...
::shakes head::
I'll just amend what I said to state "Another addition to a pointless spell that hardly anyone uses."
How ranks of demonology do you need so you can reliably summon this? And what is it, a 32k fine for getting caught with a demon in Illistim? So you can add a charge to a web once every five miniutes?

[Sorcerer Guild, Arcane Studies]
Opaque mist forms the basis of this rotund chamber. It has no physical walls nor any structure that lends it solid form. Passageways created by the parting of mist open and close within a moment's notice at the beckoning of the Arcane Masters who buzz around the chamber at an almost frenzied pace attending to their tasks. The world away from this room is completely obscured, and your existence is likely obscured from the world, with the exception of an opening in the mist directly in front of a rune-carved door. You also see Arcane Master Latria, a faint trail leading into the mist, Arcane Master Vartelin, Arcane Master Marderain, Arcane Master Narcisina, Arcane Master Naelimala and Arcane Master Saekin.
Obvious exits: none
>
An indolent deep black arashan skitters into the room.
>ask vart about train illusions
You ask Vartelin about getting some training in Illusions.
Vartelin says, "The Training Administrator must tell you that you're ready to work with me, first."
Vartelin gives you a strange look.
>scow
You scowl.
[Sorcerer Guild, Foyer]
This small, simple foyer is elegantly paneled in polished dark walnut. Crimson carpet spreads from wall to wall and extends off to the west. Clusters of silver tubes sprout from the walls, entwining in serpentine fashion before ending in circular candleholders. Long black candles extend from the holders and burn with steady flames nearly as black as the candles themselves, yet the light cast by the flames readily illuminates the area. You also see a framed parchment, a pair of black wrought iron gates, a crimson insignia, an ebony marble table with some stuff on it, an ebony arch and Training Adminstrator Aerenis.
Obvious exits: east, west
>aer ill
You ask Aerenis for an assignment in Illusions.
Aerenis exclaims, "Your dedication is admirable, but you're a Master of Illusions already!"

Speaking in Guildspeak to Training Adminstrator Aerenis, you exclaim, "But I am not a master of that!"

You point at an indolent deep black arashan.

[Sorcerer Guild, Garden]
A jungle atmosphere pervades this dimly lit garden, and only a few random rays of light intrude here and there from windows on the south and west walls. Vines creep up the walls and across the ceiling, trailing tendrils as if waiting to ensnare the unwary. Crickets chirp noisily somewhere deep under the abundant plant life. A trail winds through the foliage, and several benches are unobtrusively placed to provide restful spots for quiet contemplation. You also see a thick-coated silver-grey aishan, a muscular smoky grey aishan and a refreshment cart with some stuff on it.
Also here: Drigore, Capalodius, Great Lord Sereg

Speaking to Capalodius, Sereg asks, "Then how about you?"
>
Speaking in Guildspeak, you say, "Aerenis refuses to show me the knowledge."
Capalodius ponders.
>
Sereg says, "Interesting."
>
Sereg scraches his ear only to find a gooey coating of web. Quickly, Sereg brushes the silky strands away from his hair and ear.

Speaking in Guildspeak to Training Adminstrator Aerenis, you say, "Show me how to illusion it."

Speaking to Training Adminstrator Aerenis, Sereg says, "This seems to be an entirely new archetype."
Speaking in Guildspeak to Training Adminstrator Aerenis, you say, "I have summoned many from the shien'tyr."

Capalodius just closed a crimson rune-stitched backpack.

Speaking in Guildspeak to Training Adminstrator Aerenis, you say, "And never one like this."
Aerenis comments, "Yes, I've yet to see such a demon."
>
Drigore idly runs a finger along the volume, and a faint sigil at the edge of the page pulses briefly with a hazy black glow.
>
Aerenis takes a few steps around the arashan, his eyes never leaving the creature.

Aerenis asks, "I presume that the Basilica has been notified of this event?"
>
Aerenis glances around the room.
>
Speaking in Guildspeak to Training Adminstrator Aerenis, you say, "It has."
[more stuff]
Speaking to you, Capalodius asks, "Did you try to ask the Masters if the demon could be cloaked?"
Speaking in Guildspeak to Capalodius, you say, "I requested training in illusions."
Speaking in Guildspeak to Capalodius, you say, "And was referred back to Aerenis."
Speaking in Guildspeak to Capalodius, you say, "Who has never seen one."
Aerenis asks, "I'm rather talented, but even I could not conjure up an illusion for that creature on such short notice."
Speaking in Guildspeak to Training Adminstrator Aerenis, you say, "Perhaps if we came up with one now."
Capalodius says, "Perhaps if they become more common now we may find a way to illusion them in the future then."
Speaking dryly, Aerenis says, "By all means. If you've more talent that those of us here to weave such an illusion, go right ahead."
Speaking in Guildspeak to Training Adminstrator Aerenis, you say, "I was suggesting to come up with an appropriate illusion, so that we would have a goal to attain."

For those that DO use demons, this is one of, if not THE, most useful one so far. It can change webs, but not only yours, anyone in the room. It also makes it like YOU cast it.
So you can turn open Ithzir (other any other critter) webs into your own webs. Pretty damn bad ass. There is a timer on it though, just haven't worked out how long yet, or if it's based off demonology ranks.

You remove a sigil-chased dark leather volume from in your locker.

Faint words appear upon the volume's surface...
Arashan.
The arashan call Shien'Tyr home. There appears to be no hierarchy established between the arashan and the other inhabitants of Shien'Tyr, the aishan and the shien. When summoned, the demons ignore the presence of each other. Unfortunately, this conclusion cannot be verified on their natural valence.
The arashan, while vaguely similar to Elanthian spiders in appearance, has many peculiar differences. Its body consists of an abdomen, thorax and a distinct head, which is typically fused to the thorax on traditional spiders. The head bears no eyes, a likely result of Shien'Tyr's absolute darkness. Long, wiry hair covers its body and legs, which the demon twitches constantly in an attempt to feel its surroundings. The hair can vary in hue, usually being black, brown, grey or a deep blue. It has eight three-segmented legs sprouting from its thorax that each end in three toes splayed 120 degrees apart. A fully upright arashan can almost rival the height of a halfling, but they rarely extend themselves far off the ground.
The face of the arashan bears only three tentacles circling its mouth. The tentacles are about a hand's length long, black, ridged and wet. They usually hang motionless from the face, but when the creature gets excited they will flare up and thrash wildly about. In foggy environments, the arashan can be seen undulating its tentacles while orally emitting some form of black thread.
"... I took the creature outside in an attempt to gauge its reaction to different environments. It seemed rather lackadaisical amongst the streets of the city and the gardens until the evening mist settled in. Almost immediately its tentacles started to twist and throb as it regurgitated a thin, dark string. The hypnotic motions of the tentacles wove the silk into black webs, which it seemingly attempted to hang from the mist and fog, only to have it fall to the ground. It grew frustrated and spat an enormous glob of the webbing at me. The substance was extremely sticky and it took a moment to remove myself from it before I could discipline the creature appropriately..." (Corientha Estera)
A peculiar habit of the arashan is its tendency to talk to itself. The arashan speak their own cryptic language, but have never been seen to speak to each other, only when alone. It is theorized that the creatures are attempting to contact other arashan over long distances, since sound potentially travels very far on Shien'Tyr, but this theory has not been proven. The voice of the arashan is hauntingly deep and raspy.
Light makes the arashan uncomfortable. It is unknown how exactly the demon is capable of knowing an area is lit when it lacks any eyes. Even when not in warm sunlight, but in a magically lit room, the arashan will sulk and become lazy. Due to its photophobia, the arashan is usually rather upset with being pulled away from its perpetually dark home. It has been known to not take kindly to commands and occasionally even refuse them, if it requires the arashan to do a substantial amount of work.
From the Book of Records
The arashan was first summoned by Allereli Lissina Faendryl.

Shien'Tyr-Arashan runestones are now availble in the west room of the Twilight Hall shop in the Landing (www.playershops.com/Twilights) for 10k each. I ask that people respect the spirit in which I make them available and not grab them and try to sell for profit.
