If you had something you would like to change as a warrior, what would it be?

The cost of dodge.

Yeh, agreed with Jonty. Making a warrior who is a two hander, there are many skills pretty much required. 3x armor, 2-3x PT, 3x dodge, 2x CM's..its pretty much impossible to get all of it.
Though, I must admit, I'm really not being to fond of the "random" crits. My favored weapon is and always has been the claidhmore. But when I'm hitting an end roll of over 200, and only glancing the critter with a minor stun, there is just something wrong. We, as claid users sacrifice a LOT to be able to kill things quickly. We have a lower DS, a greater RT..thats all countered by the fact that our hits hurt a LOT...or at least it used to be.

I'd make them a decent profession. WarriorStone went down the drain along with any hope of half the GSIV releases.

I don't understand why you would 3x armor and 3x dodge. If you're wearing plate, then you take hits better anyway and the dodge penalty is insane so that training any more than 2x yields little return for the cost (16/8?). On the other hand, you could go for speed and wear lighter armor and do dodge.
I take a lvl 66 warrior out hunting sometimes for shits and giggles, I have absolutely no problem hunting. As for the random crits, you're talking to someone who hadn't not seen a 1 shot kill on his rogue in about 3 years, heh. Even now I can usually eye crit Skull Temple things with a dagger.

I have like 2.25x armor and 2x dodge. I'm wearing hauberk and evade or parry a good amount. I'm not sure whether or not my training plan is good, I like it, but I'm not trying to be an uber-warrior.
Conclusion: If you 3x dodge as a warrior, you're Warclaidhm.

In the logs of Warclaidhm's most recent fights, he hasn't exactly been doing bad. That five on one and him taking out two was actually impressive.

If you want to improve the profession, you should get rid of Warclaidhm and Vif.

Because last I heard, Dodge ranks also add raw DS. Which, as a claid user, I ALWAYS NEED.

As a claidh user, I have shitty redux (between 15 and 16%) and I wear hauberk. It works.

I don't know the mechanics of it, but to have warrior's be better at using some herbs so we can be less dependant on magic, or make it so a herb works for us a bit better. It sounds stupid but mine takes pride in being able to heal up on the trail but its just not possible with encumbrance shooting through, so then I have to use healers.

I think first aid controls herb munching RT. If they make warriors too good with herbs, empaths will lose their main customers!
Edited to add that I don't know what else you mean by making herbs better for warriors.

Warriors can simulate DS with other skills, primarily plate and redux. Getting hit is no problem when you are 3x PT and Plate.
On the claidhs doing random crits....Yes it is dismaying to see rank 4 crits on an endroll of 250+. However, imagine how long it would take to nail a critter with an OHE in raw hp loss.

I just wish warrior's didn't have in essense to be so dependant on the other proffessions. I'm not a Great Lady but I've heard that the higher you get its almost impossible to hunt without spells.
As a warrior, I don't search out spells but then I have to go and get healed up by empaths and I know that though they learn its their job so I tip well, but considering I can't hunt rich critters I usually at the end of a hunt end up with no silvers.

Herbs. As a big, strapping warrior, herbs aren't much of an encumberance.

Not impossible at all. Pick your fights. If you're trained in the guild, you shouldn't have much problem at all. Tackle, Warcry, and Disarm are nothing to sneeze on, especially at higher levels. Mstrike with a two hander would work wonders as well against multiple targets. There are plenty of warriors around who don't sink to asking other people for spells and are completely self reliant even at upper levels. You could also try double training in hiding. The DS pushdown is sick.

<<If you're trained in the guild, you shouldn't have much problem at all.>>
My highest skills are Warrior Tricks (35), Batter Barriers (15), and Tackle (6).
Edited to add that I'm a terrible warrior.

Well, if anyone would like to honestly help me with my warrior (knowing I may not agree with/use advice but am willing to learn & listen) feel free to U2U. I have never been good with the number's and formula's.
I do use herbs, that was in my first post.

Eeeeeew. What did you, join the guild for RP purposes?
I would make these changes:
Take combat-guild skills out of the guild.
Be able to lower minimum RT's across the board by one second OR allow a DF increaser.
Increase magic costs.
Decrease certain phys costs; dodge, TWC, ambush, thrown.
Get rid of redux entirely (preferably for all professions) (especially those damn clerics! and so on.)
StrayRogue

Clerics can't get redux.
Edited to add that any profession can theoretically have redux, however, anyone whom trains 2x or over in spells will never see redux.

I'd like to see warriors weapon costs lowered. Since you aren't learning spells you should have a few types of attacks avalible to you. I'd like to have the points to train in my twc +brawling, and ohe but it's just not possible with the other stuff I train in. Granted I could probably drop armor down a bit but I like heavy armor.
My opinion shouldn't really count highest I've ever gotten a warrior is 23

Jonty and I have went out hunting all the time without spells. I know that I was never in need of any spells. Even against the Banshees and Windwraiths in Teras in GS3, and that's around level 50.
