Well with the new changes and what not I'm considering fixskilling or starting a new mstriking warrior. Personally, I am of the opinion that ambushing is the fastest (and safest) way to kill anything. But lets give it a shot since they've gotten through all the trouble of implementing it. Thanks Warden and Coase btw, even if berserk is less usable now due to the insane stamina costs.
My mstriking warrior.
TWC + tripled PT + doubled multi, anything wrong with this build?
-Should I go for crit weighted or damage weighted weapons for mstriking? Damage weighting still is bad post changes in my opinion, at least in regards to crit weighting.
-What type of weapon should I go for, blunt or edged?
Any input would be super!:help:

Your main problem with this build will be defense. Yes, you'll have LOTS of redux, but you will have NO shield so you won't have any sort of blocking mechanism.
You'll want to get into full plate as soon as unhumanly possible. Carry a shield and get a rank of two of shield use for those times when you're getting slaughtered and need to turtle.
I personally loved TWC'ing with longswords and handaxes, but I've also heard that TWC'ing with morning stars is insane. My warrior went from level 5 to level 35 TWC'ing with handaxes and longswords... she had defensive problems, but she tore through things fast. TWC + MStrike is insane, if you can pull it off, especially if you add in the 2x-3x PT training.

Interesting, I was thinking of going heavy hitter rather then two weapon too. So like a claid or lance. The only downside to all this is the recovery in between mstriking. How is it between a two weapon user. Like 30 seconds between each mstrike? and how many attacks for each mstrike? Anyone know with the new changes if you can mstrike twice or three times in 5 seconds? What are the recovery times with a twohanded weapon?

If you were to go TWC Mstriking. At least for low levels, I'd stick with 2 flaring weapons..Not weighting.
It's amazing how much raw damage a TWC mstriker could do with flaring weapons. I loved my hamstringing TWC ranger with his flared weapons...Since it activates flares as well, a nice touch to say the least.

Two stars is damn sexy. I don't get to play that character much, but by hunting smart and picking your enemies well, I've had nothing but a blast. He even does warcamps in Plat which is a real challenge.

Don't particularly know what the recovery rate is between a TWC user and a THW user is. My paladin (being a sword/board user) has a normal recovery of about 12 seconds from a 2-creature MStrike (5second RT, unencumbered). On the old system, three strikes would be 8 seconds, four strikes would be 11 seconds, etc. for her. (Looking to be adding 3 seconds per additional strike, for an (OHE)handaxe/board-using paladin.)

I'd have to agree. The two longswords I used both had vibe flares that were very nasty (from the auto-flaring service at EG '05 or '06). I love those swords, and handed them over to my husband's TWC'ing rogue once my warrior converted to sword/board paladin. I don't think we'll ever be selling them, just because they're damn nasty together plus they're TWC-scripted and unlocked completely (bonus!).

*nod* I know a couple people (you, among them) who do the star TWC'ing with much success. TWC'ing can be very successful... just gotta do it right.

As a very successful mstriking THW warrior, I thought I'd share my build.
I chose to triple armor first. At level 25 I had enough ranks for MBP. After I hit 140 ranks in armor (level 45), I will move the points to ambush, and possibly PF. Doubling dodge is pretty essential, especially at lower levels. I'd like to train more in MOC but it is extremly expensive, and I'm pretty happy with where it is right now.
Martaigne (at level 26), your current skill bonuses and ranks (including all modifiers) are:
Skill Name | Current Current
| Bonus Ranks
Armor Use..........................| 180 80
Combat Maneuvers...................| 156 56
Two-Handed Weapons.................| 156 56
Multi Opponent Combat..............| 130 35
Physical Fitness...................| 156 56
Dodging............................| 156 56
Harness Power......................| 10 2
Perception.........................| 40 8
Climbing...........................| 50 10
Swimming...........................| 25 5
First Aid..........................| 25 5
CMans are a must, and the parry mastery is vital to a shieldless warrior. SoS is great to induce more hits, as is wspec and bonding.
Martaigne, your Combat Maneuver training is as follows:
Skill name Mnemonic Ranks
Specialization I wspec1 3
Weapon Bonding bonding 3
Surge of Strength surge 3
Parry Mastery pmastery 2
Available Combat Maneuver Training Points: 8
You could apply this toward a TWC build, just swap out THW for edge/blunt and TWC. And I'm sure everyone will have their opinions on how to train, this isn't the only way.

Yes, I hunt Darkstone.
A kiramon defender claws at you!
AS: +248 vs DS: +198 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +81 = +156
... and hits for 7 points of damage!
Thrust glances off your knee.
Might be stiff tomorrow, but it's okay now.
You concentrate intently, focusing all your energies.
With instinctive motions, you weave to and fro striking with deliberate and unrelenting fury!
You swing an elegant rose-inscribed zweihander at a kiramon worker!
AS: +268 vs DS: +87 with AvD: +41 + d100 roll: +9 = +231
... and hit for 94 points of damage!
Whoosh! Several ribs driven into lungs.
[You have earned 100 recognition points.]
The kiramon worker falls back into a heap and dies.
You swing an elegant rose-inscribed zweihander at a kiramon defender!
AS: +268 vs DS: +67 with AvD: +41 + d100 roll: +6 = +248
... and hit for 128 points of damage!
Deft slash!
The kiramon defender is spun around and hit hard in its lower back.
[You have earned 100 recognition points.]
The kiramon defender clicks one last time and dies.
Your flurry of strikes leaves you off-balance and out of position.
Roundtime: 10 sec.

So thats the exact same RT you would get with typing kill twice whats the point? Other then the slight bonus of attacking twice, hmm, might not be so worth it.

I used a katana for 2 handed mstriking.
The build was 2x two handed, 2x CM, 2x Dodge, 2x armor, 2x PF, 2x MO, and perc/swim/climb as needed tucked in.
I never really had any defensive problems with 2x dodge and 2x armor. You get additional parry from a 2 hander or 2 1 handed weapons.
The katana kept the RT lower.
One long instakill is better than many separate attacks.
I favored COL for the added AS.

Yes, but at 3 attacks I only swing at 12 with the new changes... go figure.
