So what's everyone's favorite album of the moment?

I'm enjoying Baby I'm Bored by Evan Dando - still. Just got Johnny Cash UnEarthed, which I'm also listening to quite a bit.

currently the warren zevon cd .. not because i like all the tracks on it but because im amazed with how he wrote it knowing he was dying. its just inspiring to me. but he also does a really nice version of knockin' on heavens door in my opinion which happens to be one of my favorite songs so that doesnt hurt.

hehe man, the video was really good, the "bitch" was yummy, she was personating Death i think, trying to bring the love of the singer into the other world or something like that.

Man... 1992, doesn't make us younger..

Piano Starts Here
Art Tatum

Had him on vinyl when I was in college. Finally got around to getting him on CD. if you know the name I don't need to say anything...if you haven't heard of him and you even think you might like jazz piano, Mr. Tatum is the one.

I have varied tastes in music, so right now its a tie between Nickleback and Montgomery Gentry's My Town.
(Yes country!)

Song of the moment: Lie before You Leave.
(my songs of the moment change as often as my moods)

Ilvane

Yep, I think so.

She just has a little bit different sound to her now. Like the title of the CD says, she adds a little bit of her culture into the mix. I like it, and I bought her CD based on the first one.

That is my other favorite CD. Depending upon my mood, it's usually one of them at some point during the day.

Elvis really is great. I live in Memphis and I heard about Elvis alot growing up and didn't think much of it, but once I gave it a listen, it really is good stuff.

Elrodin, have you ever listened to some of the DJ's from South Louisiana?

Louie Devito is a good DJ, but his live stuff actually isn't up to par with the album work. For a show, there are a few DJ's I would take over him in a heartbeat.

1) DJ Tiesto (by far the best in my eyes)
2) Riddler
3) Paul Van Dyk (his albums arent too shabby either)
4) Ferry Corsten (nobody makes better remixes. His remixes of God is a Girl - Groove Coverage, Clear Blue Water - Oceanblue, and Kathy's Song - Apoptygma Bezerk are among my favorites.)

That being said, I still havent found a techno/dance compilation better than Underground 3 on a single CD

They're not new they've been out for a couple years now. I hate their names, but you can prolly look up some of these DJ's as well. DJ Greddy, DJ SlimTim, DJ Ricey, DJ Mystik, DJ Irene, Hex Hector is always great, Junior Vasquez, there's more but I don't know what kind of trance you listen too.

I will never forgive DJ Irene for fucking up half the songs she plays by giving a speech. I'm there for the music, not to listen to some DJ tell me what to drink, what to do, and where the action is. She needs to STFU up more and just play music

LOL!!!! I've never seen her spin live, and by your post, thank God. Some DJ's get carried away I guess. Why does it have to be a female DJ that runs her mouth?!?!?!?! The guys do it too you know! :flamed:

She spun live a couple times last year at Webster Hall, and she spun once a couple years ago at X in seaside. She's quite obsessed with her own voice. Some DJ's like, the riddler will end or fade a song to some chatter, but she's the chatterbox all night long

If you can get your hands on them, these DJ's kick ass.

DJ Trashy, DJ Johnny Cage, DJ Digital, DJ Pryss, DJ Ruff, DJ Prep, DJ Scrub, D Zam, DJ 111, and DJ Sky High.

There are alot more, those are just a few of the local DJ's I can think of right now.

Hmmm.

Dust For Life, although it's been out a couple of years, is still one of my favorite CDs.

U2's Joshua Tree, Kiss' Destroyer, Yes' 90125, Godsmack's self titled and my Led Zepplin and The Police box sets still find a lot of play nowadays.

Forgot to add my SRV and Eric Clapton CDs. I just can't pick one CD to call my favorite ya know?
