I just got this from a Shan ranger.

My theory: Warden is moving the game toward a group oriented "semi-raid style" gameplay with perhaps some general story guidelines thrown in. Think paper and pencil RPG but with hunting areas. The big test of this theory will be when the 130+ hunting areas come online. I bet you anything those areas will require 3 to 6 players to work together to hunt effectively. I also think that tentative "clans" will be formed around consistent hunting parties. And there may be even clan halls and the like added by Warden. Also, in the long term there may be on the spot story driven group quests that can be created by a GM at will.
Anyhow, all I can say is from the looks of things. More treasure is being distributed and the current items out ther in the market are losing much of it's value... and continue to do so unless Warden nerfs back the changes.
