Ive noticed a few people complaining about vultures and people not taking the proper steps when rescuing and whatnot. So i thought id post a question.
What should i do/not do in order to not piss people off when i want to rescue them.
Here is what i do now when im rescuing someone.
Locate, then fog to em.
minor sant if needed.
LK them, and i dont ask if they want it. I figure if they are still there after i locate and then fog they want a rescue and LK isnt uncalled for.
Next i ask if they need some help, and if theyd like a fog.
If they say yes, i grab em, ask if anyone else in the room wants to go with us, then fog back.
Next, i drag em to a healer. (ive noticed i dont really take into consideration the wants of the corpse, once youve said you do want me to rescue you, your my responsibility, and im ganna get you an empath, i never ask if there are peticular empaths, or races they dont want healed from.)
Sit until they are healed.
When they are ready i WOL, then raise. (ill note that i dont go through any pre-raise hoopla. My cleric is half dark elf, and he doesnt accept the fact that hes actually half human, so he doesnt feel his abilities are god given, just another expression of manna. So no need to pray, or bestow "the graces of some god")
After they are back up, i wait for a tip that i will most likely decline. (Unless its particularly nice, like a neat trinket, or something that goes with my character. Oh and if someone tries to tip me with a toy of some sort, or food, i always accept.)
Then im done and we part ways. Maybe ill ask if they need some spiritual spells before they run off.
So, anything about this wrong? should i add steps or take out steps in order to please more people?
What do you folks think?
