View Full Version : Limit on number of items now?

Is there a limit on the number of items that a character can hold now? I thought it used to be limited by weight only. Check this out:

>You feel somewhat weighed down, but can still move well, though you realize you are not as quick as you could be.

The main reason my bard is is a Giantman is so he can hold umpteen million gems to be sung.

It's been there for quite awhile now. 500 is the limit.

Yes. 500 items, and your person counts as 1 item, so 499.

You can use INVENTORY QUANTITY to check to see how many items you have. It does not include items inside closed containers, or items in your hands (INVEN HANDS QUANT does that though)

And locked containers. So if you have items tucked away in a container that uses a skull ring, for example.

Are you saying that INVENTORY QUANTITY doesn't see the items in the locked container, or that they don't count towards your total?

It doesn't see anything in a closed container. My bard with nearly 500 items on him only had 20 items according to INV QUAN last night.

Heh yeah. The thing is, since I don't have a preemie account in GS I can't have 9 locker toons like I can in WoW. :(

That reminds me, I should log in and clear out the mailboxes of my guys before anything valuable goes poof. I think it's been a month since I've logged in at this point. Scary!

Things that are cursed take up several slots. I think things that are enchanted take up several slots. Phased items likely take up two slots as well.

Does anyone remember the curse data holders?

You'd think with the move to the 64 bit servers they'd up the limit a little... although it is pretty reasonable at 500.
