Ok, is this armor setup possible?

6x ET, 4x TD, Heavily Crit padded, Spiked/flared ?

I don't see why not but it would be expensive as hell to produce.

Padding and Flaring sit in the same slot just like Weighting and Flaring does for weapons. You forgot to put in resistances.

While you are correct about padding and flaring sitting in the same slot, spikes aren't flares. They aren't "reactive" per say. If someone hits you, your armor won't spike them. They only spike when you use a manuever of some sort that hits the creature with your armor (sweeps, bear hugs, headbutts, tackles, etc...)

I had a set of 6x brigandine, heavy crit padded, spiked, and like 15 lbs that I really enjoyed wearing for awhile. A shame I got rid of it. Eventually I might see if the buyer would be willing to sell it back sometime.

As far as the 6x/4x goes. It's entirely possible. I'd recommend finding a set of zelnorn (I think its the TD armor) and use premium points to enchant it. They enchant one side at a time. So it would cost a boatload of points.

Actually, the TD enhancement takes the same "slot" as padding. So you can't add the padding onto it. I believe you could do TD enhancement (or flares, or padding), spikes, and resistance on the armor.

The enchant gets split between both sides in the case of Zelnorn items. A +15/+15 Zelnorn item, if enchanted, would become +18 DS / +17 AS. Next enchantment would make it +20 DS / +20 AS.

Ahh, looks like I was confused a bit. Thankye!

The 6x set I had with padding and spikes also had Regyy resistance in it. So correct, you can do those 3

Are you talking about the set that you sold me? (6x brig, spiked, etc.) What resistances does it have? I missed that part

There's two different types of resistances:
1) Ranger nature resistance
2) Merchant resistances to specific damage types like Slash, Crush, Puncture, Lightning, etc.

The different armor slots include:
1. (Padding, TD Enchancer, AS enchancer, Flares)
2. Spikes
3. Specific damage resistance
4. The Temp Ranger Resists (if padding is like HCP or below or whatever)
5. Temporary effects (TD/AS/padding etc)
6. Enhansive effects (spells, skills, stats)
7. Scripts

Too bad there isn't a spirit spell attack resistance. So in conclusion slap on any TD bonus on the shield and get the highest padded armor possible.

You can resist it if you figure out what type of damage it produces. Like it might be crush damage, so resistance to crush will help.

Interesting and how many resistances can you tack onto your armor? and is any of it permanent?

There were sets sold over the shelf with 2 resistances and 1 weakness, and all permanent.

The most I've ever seen total is three resistances and no weaknesses, again, permanent.

i think the cap is 25% by a merchant. It was higher, but I think that's a new standard.

Interesting, so if someone were to mana disrupt me and I have 25% crush resistance... if I resist what would it say?
