5x MCP golvern hauberk.

No, I don't have it, just want to get a ballpark range on how much it would be worth silver-wise.

25-35 million.

I'd lean towards 35.

If I didn't already have 9x crit padded armor, I would have purchased it when I had the chance, heh.

Really? 35 mil for Masterfully crit padding?

Ah, the crit one's a whole 'nother story.

I know Neimanz has a set, dunno how much he paid for it from Tsin.

Holy god I'm getting old, I read that as HCP, sorry.

I know I paid about that for 6x HCP full plate...

I'd price it around 110-120 probably.

This is the set Tsin put a 80m MB on, and then pulled it out from under the bidder

Said he would not take less than 100m

yeah, it obviously depends on the seller. i would think 90-110m would be fair. again, depending on who's selling it.

This might be a little weird since it's my armor but lately it seems like there have been some problems regarding how to price high end items.. I get asked like 20 times a day to price something and I tell everyone the same thing.

Looking at prices of similar items that have sold recently will always be the best way to price anything. No offense to you other people who have thrown out guesses so far, but I usually don't like to base any prices unless I know that person has had experience in high end item prices or has actually sold something similar in the past. There is such a huge range in price differences because items are worth different prices to different people. I mean it's not that hard for people to throw out numbers based on your personal opinion of it but it's another thing to make an educated estimate using your knowledge of high end items or by using other item prices.

These are the most similar items that have sold recently. They would be useful for help in trying to determine a price.

Except some of those weren't even bought, they were trade deals.

And obviously we don't normally have that info since you don't share it. You hide prices, and charge different ones for different people. People wind up paying more than something is worth because you charge it - being the only one who sells it. And that then becomes the new market price, because one person wanted it bad enough to pay it.

Sweet Jesus! suddenly I feel like I stole my set. Granted mine is only 6x MCP 26lbs w/lightning resistance. But there is a 100mil+ price difference.

Bet ya didn't get it from Tsin then...

Huge difference, but yeah it sounds like you got a good deal.

Yeah but guess how much it would cost you to get yours up to 9x also.. 6x-7x is 8500.. 7x-8x is 9000.. 8x-9x is 9500.. so 27000 points.. that's like what 150m if you bought 9k bunches? that's IF you can even find three chunks of 9k which is really tough.. to be honest i'm not surprised some of the higher enchant ones aren't worth more

But the actual effect of 15 DS at that point is nearly unnoticable.

a 3x DB item is what... 30m?

bubbauno

Yeah but most of us already have 10x DB already so we can't wear anymore

So you're admitting that an extra 15 DS ontop of that would be entirely superflous.

Yes, DS is transient and often not worth the silver people dump into getting it..but that doesn't stop higher enchant items from being worth much, much more than lower enchant ones of the same padding level.

Oh no I know the economics of it, it's just people don't seem to do it in the proper order... they think about getting from 9x to 10x before they realize they could just get a 1xDB or get a self-charging 401 (if that's not a spell they normally wear).

Obviously if that's the only place you have left to improve yourself that's the only place you've got... but if you're dropping $1,500 and it has no tangible benefit on your power level..

A lot of people will bang on about being completely self reliant. They don't like the thought of using outside magic, so high enchant gear and DB items appeal to them. You would be surprised at how many adopt this philosophy. Even self chargers would be considered too much outside reliance.
