Debating this configuration with my rogue for the next round of fixskills.

It's somewhat barebones, as I have to basically sacrifice all MIU/AS/EMC, half of HP, all pickpocketing, and all trading for the spells.

Armor Use..........................| 240 130 130
Combat Maneuvers...................| 201 101 101
Ranged Weapons.....................| 302 202 202
Ambush.............................| 302 202 202
Physical Fitness...................| 302 202 202
Dodging............................| 403 303 303
Harness Power......................| 132 32 32
Disarming Traps....................| 370 270 270
Picking Locks......................| 403 303 303
Perception.........................| 302 202 202
Climbing...........................| 90 20 20
Swimming...........................| 150 50 50

Spell Lists
Minor Elemental....................| 30 30

Spell Lists
Minor Spirit.......................| 20 20

AS: 523
DS: 438 (offensive, 5x bow / 6x plate)

Might see how hunting in hauberk goes.

For it to be any fun, you'd have to drop down to hauberk... otherwise the spells won't be much utility during combat...

That sure is a cute AS

AS/DS/TD. What more do you want?

Ewave . . . ? Just make imbeds that bypass hindrance.

Being able to cast 410 instead of using imbeds is very nice. And if you get your DS high enough your not being physically hit anyways, it wont matter what base your armor is. You just need some padding for the CMan maneuvers.

And if you dont need the CvA against spells.

And if you get something dispelled you can put it back up.

CvA against spells.

DING!

He doesn't have MIU... or can you use things if you know the spell regardless?

Confirmation please - If I want to actually dodge shit, I should untrain in Dodging and go for Combat Maneuvers yes?

He doesn't but it wouldn't take long to pick up enough to use 410 reliably; tap gives a +50 activation bonus.

2 things; 1 am I the only person that if I were level 100, I wouldn't get 101 or 303 ranks in something? I'd just keep it to a nice round number? It would bug the shit out of me.

and 2, dropping hiding for max redux is pretty cool. Not sure I could do it... (and 3) The Ambush is only for the additonal AS then. seems almost a waste, but I guess 40 AS is 40 AS.

lastly:
You're using 6439 PTP, and 6940 MTP... I don't have anywhere NEAR that. Post cap traing FTW I assume...

Maxing AS out as an archer is pretty key when it comes to things in plate.

And yeah, post cap training . . .

Ok so im using a fixskill to change from OHE to ranged also, being level 40.
my plans are
1x armor, PT, dodging
1.5x CM
2x ambush/percep/ranged /pick pocket
2.5x picking/disarm/hiding
getting spells up to 404.
swimming tto 40 or 50 ranks
climbing to 20 or so ranks
Only problem im seeing is having alot of leftover PTPs, like over 300. Should I throw them in armor use, up to 70 ranks fer MBP or up dodging some along with armor?

Drop cm to 1x, more armor (80 ranks for mbp, btw). More dodging can't hurt.

Ok guys, desperate question

Before I commit fully with my fixskills, I need some answer about the following:

is MOC really worth it as a rogue? I'm going TWC with 2 daggers or longsword/shortsword - am level 27 right now and currently in the process of dropping my CM to 31 (from 47) to get the pts for 30 ranks of MOC.

Am I better off going 2x CM all the time, or getting MOC up to 30, THEN going back to 2x CM? Should I continue to train in MOC after 30? Questions questions questions

Thanks for all answers in advance

moc is definitely worth it to avoid the force-on-force pushdowns you get when you are being swarmed. not too many things i've hunted have swarmed until i got to the volcano on teras with all them fucking thraks. i see that being its best benefit.
i stick with 2x cman and have no moc, but if i could afford it i probably would get a few.

does anyone know if fixskills comes tonight at midnight est or just sometime tomorrow?

I'd personally just pick up 5 ranks of MOC as a Rogue. Simply because, well....You're a Rogue and at the moment only 27 trains right now so you shouldn't run into many problems with stuff swarming. Unless of course you are in the Sunfist...That is an entirely different story.

I'd stick it out with 5 ranks in MOC and then keep 2x CM while adding to your MOC if you wish as points allow if you still want to hit 30 ranks. But even 1x CM is doable so that's another path you could look into as well.

What does the 5 ranks of MOC get you?

unfocused two swings and some DS pushdown defence, I reckon

Considering the following ( or any other interesting plan ).

110 ranks of armor for hauberk
2x in shield use
2x edged
1x CM
1x Ambush

1x HP
.5x dodge
.5x hide
39 ranks Summon Lore
30 ranks MoC
30 ranks climb/swim
25 ranks MIU
24 ranks SMC
9 ranks of AS
80 spells 650/130

Here's where I'm at now

on ones answered me on this yet, do fixskills come tonight at exactly midnight?

AestheticDeath
05-19-2008, 10:03 PM
why 9 ranks of arcane symbols?

And if you swap the 1x shield/dodge, to 2x/.5x let us know the DS difference you see.

Stunseed

The 9 ranks were just excess MTP's after the slight drop of CM I took to move up to hauberk, for spellburst. I'd like to get more at some point, though I'm not sure because my current plan is kicking much ass.

Thanks all for the replies. I've decided to drop MOC to 5 for the moment, and focus on my CMAN, AS, and MIU as a 27 train non-picking rogue.
