Of course I have my own ideas. Of course I know the benefits. I was just bored and curious as to what other people thought.

If I were to list the traits off the top of my head I would offer this list in no particular order...

Money micro-management. Tracking every penny you earn and spend. Shoring up the money leaks. Cut spending on non-essentials. Invest savings.

Working hard on something you love with like minded people. Be creative. Be bold. Try your ideas until one sticks then run with it.

Believing you are capable and that you deserve the rewards of your creativity and hard work.

Have a motivation other than just wanting to be “rich”.


Also, I think there is a certain amount of generosity involved. Lets take a fiction novelist for example. Here is a person interested in entertaining/enlightening you with their craft. They labor intensively for your enjoyment/benefit. The result is that people are willing to pay that novelist a modest fee to be entertained and if enough people are the novelist stands to reap a decent financial reward for pouring their soul into something in the generous spirit of entertaining others.

Or more simply, Wolfgang Puck probably primarily prepared plates for his own palate but found that people were pretty pleased with the product of his passion for his profession to pay him profusely.

Also, if the above characteristics appeal to you and you don’t have them already, don’t despair because they can be learned and acquired.

You say that you appreciate it, but you actually don't. I'm not even sure if you're not consciously aware of it, but you'll ignore everything that was said.

You ignore the mountains that tell you what people really think about you... it's an endless network of peaks and canyons that reverberate with the echoes of "tool box."
