Brawling DS

I'm thinking about switching my main over to a shield/hurling combo and I should have enough to 1x in brawl. I'm also thinking of going sunfist, so I'll only really be using it for defense rather than hunting with Fu.

Is it worth the TP expenditure if I normally hunt in full offensive?
