All I want for Christmas is to not be a minimum of a thousand miles away from anyone in my family. This surprises me, because I don't like them very much. But this is going to be my first christmas alone, and I do mean alone. It's gonna be one boring night without people fighting and bitching at each other, but I'll learn to cope. I do not celebrate Christmas, but the Solstice (which was on December 22). However, we will have a celebration to include all the family today. :)

As to what I wish for this holiday season, I think it would be that all of the people for whom we are offering hospice care live to see their loved ones' smiles and feel the love of family and friends all around them.

Oh, and one more thing.....that each of you has a beautiful season and that all your dreams really do come true! :)

I can relate, Neff. This is my first Christmas alone too.

All my past holidays included my parent, and my 3 brothers. I always viewed the holidays as a chaotic inconvienience, that I would have rather skipped.

My dad died the first part of the year. Two of my brothers shipped out to Iraq, one of them died there in August, the other is still there. My mom went MIA after my dad died, and we haven't heard from her since. She wasn't back for my brothers funeral. My third brother was just transfered to Ft. Meade, in Maryland, and is unable to come home for Christmas.

I've had several offers from friends to spend Christmas with them and their families, but I've declined. I think it's easier to ignore it this year. I volunteered to work a double shift, so the people who have families to be with can do so.

I want to thank all of you for entertaining me this year, both here and in the game. There were plenty of times that I needed the escape from reality that you have all provided.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.
