I pretty much wasted my time driving into work, getting settled in for the night, and then getting up to clock out and go home.

It seemed like a good idea around 5pm. The fever broke, the OTC flu meds were working, and I thought getting out of the house would do me good.

Was I ever wrong. The moment I stepped into the plant the temples started pounding. 10 feet away from the time clock, the light was just a tad too bright. Sitting down to check my e-mail, the faucet in my nose decided to run full speed. By the time I made it back to my office after a pass through the plant I thought I was going to die.

Thank God for the people you looked out for in the past. Dear Maddy, the poor lady has already put in 60 straight hours, comes in around 7:30 and tells me to take a hike.

So before I pack up and leave, we step outside to smoke (actually she smoked, I gagged and hacked) and I give her a run down of the 7am deadlines. What is shutting down... the whole hand-off. I tell her I owe her big time and she just responds with "That's BS, I still owe you for getting me the raise."

I so love the people I manage.

Men are weak. On another note, I'm starving.

I don't have the flu, but I have tonsilitis for the 2nd time in a month, probably about the 5th time this year. More antibiotics (I'm surprised some still exist that I am not allergic to or haven't developed resistance to). And the doc is sending me to an ENT specialist on the 9th of January. Probably getting the tonsils yanked at 34 years old. I hear it's much less than fun in an adult.

It's been like two weeks for me and i'm still not better. Last night was the first time I'd been feverish from it.. It rollercoasted all night. I went to bed at 7:30 up and down all night from 101.4 to 98 something then back up to 101 and so on and so fourth .. I guess when the med's wear off it shoots right back up. I'm so upset this is happening now.. today is the big family day and I hope I can enjoy it anyway.

Hope everyone else here get's better anyway, and happy holidays to everyone :)

My man's cold, or a muscular flu with some other stuff lasted 2 months, never hang around with someone having anemia problems...
