How many ranks are necessary for disarming scarabs?

Also, just an afterthought, how many ranks are necessary to read the runes that lead to the moon?

A safe bet is anywhere between 12 and 24 ranks. Having 100 skill (24 ranks) in this is something you'll want eventually anyways if you intend on using scrolls or getting into areas that require AS.

Once I was old enough to actually pick, IE 40 ranks of picking/disarming. 10 ranks in scrolls worked for me pretty much all the time.
