Up until the other day I thought Yanni was just some singer like Michael Bolton or something. Then a friend got me to watch some of his stuff on Youtube, and it turns out his stuff is instrumental instead....and good stuff. No Michael Bolton type stuff at all. Yay. He's still creepy looking though, in a way I can't quite explain.i

As an afficiando of new age music amongst all the other types of music genre I like to listen to, I cant stand Yanni. *And you think he's creepy looking in still photos - just watch one of his videos. LOL

My playlist on my IPOD would scare you. Its got everything from Classical to classic rock, and a little metalica/korn/linkin park thrown in with some Tupac. Dude, I'm all across the board when it comes to music. My primary requirement is that there at least be in evidence a consistent beat, some harmony, someone singing in key, and direction/tempo of the song in general.

Bitching wives included in the above analagy.

I believe the subjective/perjorative term there is what you define by 'shittiest'. Of course, if your music taste is in any way related to your taste in women (as evidenced by your evaluation of the photo above) then yea, 'shitty' music is pretty good. :)

No he's right. Those bands suck. Especially Linkin Park, all their shit is pretty much the same song played 478320 times on an album. Fuck them.

Thats the cool thing about having an IPOD.

You dont have to listen to the whole fucking album and all the songs that sound alike. You pick and choose the ones you like and voila! There they are on your IPOD.

Other than my CD's of Vangelis, Bond, Sade, Nora Jones and a few others that I cant think of at the moment... almost every other CD/album I have has songs on it, by artists I like, that suck ass. Thats the breaks of the game when buying albums vs. downloading if you ask me.

My favorite thing to do is put my IPOD on random play. That way, EVERY song is a winner.

I shared Yanni with Methais.... and i'm glad, he's a drummer himself and was willing to go outside the box for something.

Kitaro is very good, and I'll have to look at Bond tonight.

I'm mostly into alt-metal, hard rock/metal, 80s hairbands, and really good singer/songwriters (Joel, Elton, Neil Young, Springsteen etc.), but new age caught my eye a decade ago with Yanni's Accropolis thing on PBS. I was fairly enthralled. I'm gone to 3 concerts now, Hartford Civic Center (weeks after I saw the first), Springfield, then the last was Mohegan Sun. Never had a less than a stellar show, and the places are all sold out.
