Anyone seen one of these yet? I had to put some logos on this one today. People we're pulling over and asking me questions about it all damn day.

They were all the rage when I was in italy.. i can only imagine how expensive they'd be here given that they are made by benz. I think theres a thread here about them somewhere.

I had a customer tell me they paid 14 for theirs. Said it gave em 47 mpg as well. Too bad I wouldn't ever try to cram myself in one.

Yea I looked it up, they're actually pretty cheap. The base model is 11.5 and the convertible is around 16.5

I've seen one only once, though I do live in the suburbs of a small-ish city, so take it for what it's worth.

they were all over europe the last time i was in france. they're cheap. they're small. they get great gas mileage. parking is easy as hell.

on the other hand, they look dumb as fuck.

The guy who brought this one in said he paid 18 because it was a convertible, but you can get one for 13. He had to wait 9 months on a waiting list to get one though. 40-something mpg, 3 cylinder, top speed around 90, and you don't have to pay tax on them. I don't think it has airbags though, so I'd be careful going 90 mph with one.

Still ugly as hell.

It's like a glorified golf cart for city driving. I'd buy one if I was sure I'd live in a major city for more than a few years. It'd be perfect for 80% of the driving you have to do.

It looks like the driver should be pedaling.

Aside from the fact that its a glorified golf cart, WHY WHY WHY would it have funeral home advertisements... unless the driver/owner has pre-booked the possibility of him getting into a major accident with that thing.

Thats just creepy.

It would be ok if all the other vehicles on the road were either motorcycles or cars of that size. But you wouldnt catch me near that down here in SUV heaven.

great for in a big city, dumb for anywhere else. They were everywhere in Berlin and I could definitely see the appeal.

I think he did it to catch attention around town. I saw six people in the hour it took me to put the vinyl on stop and ask the guy questions.

Funniest part: some Charles Manson looking guy stopped before the funeral home lines we're on it and says,(exact quote) "At least you could fit a dead body in it". He came outside afterwards and apoligized for the comment after he saw what kind of business it was.

My wife wants one. There's also the Aptera, which is technically a motorcycle, according to California.
