So I needed to switch my number to a Indiana number and look for a new phone, ended up getting the Pearl. Anything I should know about these things (pros/cons) outside the given things it can do. Thanks!

I'm on mine at work right now, the browser technology is great in them, I'm loving mine so far... As far as pros and cons, I'm still playing with mine a bit, I haven't had it too long. How's life in IN so far?

I looked at the Blackberry and the new phone from Sprint.. but I think I'll still be getting the iPhone in June (When my contract expires)

I'm going BlackBerry Curve in 25 days.

I heard the Pearl sucks - but no details why other than the small ass keyboard.

I too have the pearl and I thoroughly love my mini laptop. The web browser is great, hands down. The mp3 player works well, although I downloaded a shareware version, which is only a tad better than the original the phone comes with. I use the gps navigator it comes with and it hasn't let me down yet. E-mail support is excellent, although if you receive a lot of spam you may want to set up your spam filter before setting up the e-mail accounts through your phone. You can link multiple e-mail accounts which is another bonus. Tons and tons of blackberry applications, including some pretty awesome games. I downloaded guitar hero 3 on my phone 2 days ago and it's kick ass so far.

Cons: Speakerphone isn't as loud as I'd like it to be.
The miniSD card is located behind the battery so it's a pain to get to, but just a minor inconvenience.
I suggest getting at the very least a 2+ gig card if you end up sticking with the phone. You can't record video with it, but it plays back videos just fine, although the web browser doesn't play video either from what I've seen so far so that's a downer. There are literally boat loads of programs and addons associated with this phone so you may find one that will allow it.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Awesome, I'm still trying to get use to it. I would assume the cons are the smaller screen and keyboard, why the Curve has a pull.

I bought a 1GB card, but I can always buy another if it's needed. So far, I like it.

Just got back to Indiana actually two days ago. I'm still not enjoying my neighborhood. But we're looking to buy a house within the next year, so hopefully we find an area I can live in.

Yeah, the Blackberry World is a lot better. It's the only Verizon phone you can use overseas.

I saw that. was nice an expensive, but if you do the traveling, then by all means a great phone. I just went and looked at the curve. The only true perks are the keys and screen, which I will say, are nice. But coming from someone who didn't have any other form of keying in things outside the numpad, the Pearl suits me. But I've yet to really play with much of the functions.

Curious though, is there a program I can download and put on my computer to make themes that I can upload to the phone? I see there are themes I can buy, but I want to make my own...
