I'll be moving to Liberty City too. I think I'll neglect gemstone for at least a few weeks. This is going to be awesome.

Why? The PS3 is do fucking pwn that it makes my head spin. I would rather play a cross-plat game on the PS3 any day than have to buy another 360 (RROD) and watch it take a shit on itself again.
I've had nothing but awesomeness and pleasure of my PS3 since buying it. I don't need the couple of extra missions the 360 gets a few months down the road as PAID FOR downloadable content...I'll survive.

Last summer my eldest red ringed ours, they couldn't fix it, and we got a new one in six weeks. They also sent a new cordless controller and 3 months of Xbox Live for the trouble.

Mine got the RROD. Took me about 15 minutes to fix it myself. It's amazingly easy depending on the trouble code. Mine was a 0020 if I remember right. Basically the heat sinks have some of the worst thermal paste ever on them. Just yank them out, remove the old goop, replace with some decent arctic silver ceramique or AS5 and put back together, good as new. The problem stems from the motherboard warping under heat and the heat sinks losing connection with the GPU and CPU.

Eh, I'm not even interested in getting it fixed. Now that PS3 made it over the hump, and it actually gets decent games and the same cross-plat's I'm not even interested any more.
I've never been a Microsoft fan. I didn't own an Xbox, and the only reason I bought a 360 when it came out was because I was going to have to wait a whole year before anything else. Now that it's in the trash heap (my garage), I'm once again done with it, hehe.

Meh, I'm overall pretty happy with the 360 in general. I would love to get a PS3, but there's just not enough in my wierd gaming zone that I would enjoy.
That being said, the PS3 has some amazing abilities.

The only reason I was allowed to buy one is because my friend showed us Blu-ray movies on his HDTV...and we already have a really nice TV...and the next day my Wife was like...yeah, you can go ahead and buy a PS3 now.

My father has RROD'd 3 or 4 360s. He's has had it replaced each time. If I liked FPS, I would have gotten a 360, but I don't. The only thing that the 360 has that makes me jealous is the accomplishment system.

Don't worry, you're not missing much with the achievement garbage. Maybe it's just me, but that crap is utterly boring. I'd rather play online with a bunch of my friends and have real fun instead of trying to make sure I blow up X number of X items in X amount of time on X map, etc etc etc....

About the only reason I would buy one is for the Blu-ray player. Although with Metal Gear on the horizon that'd be worth it as well. I was initially concerned with the quality of the player in it (standalone players are usually much better), but apparently it's right up there with some of the other better quality blu-ray players. And it's a lot cheaper than some other blu-ray machines.

Pre-ordered for my 360. It's been confirmed that the 360 will have downloadable content for the game. Not for the PS3. I have a birthday coming up, and I've been thinking of getting a PS3, but there's not a single must-have title for the system.

See that's how I feel about the 360. There isn't a single game that is exclusive that makes me want it. I don't like Halo.

I'm doing so by choice. I have both systems and it's been a while since I touched my 360. I think overall they're both capable of pretty much the same shit. I think ps home is gonna rock xbox live but xbl is great too, blah blah blah. A big reason I got my 360 was cause I wanted to play Street Fighter II on xbl. Which reminds me...street fighter 2 hd remix is going to rule the universe when it comes out this summer, and then street fighter iv is gonna rule even more.
Both are coming out for both systems, but I'll be getting the ps3 ones for both. Xbox controllers suck fat ass cracks, and ps3 controllers are perfect. Most cross platform games are pretty much identical, so all that's left is the controller. If PS3 had xbox controllers and xbox controllers had ps3 controllers, I'd be playing the xbox version of pretty much all cross platform games.
I still have the 360 I bought shortly after it was released, and I haven't had a RROD yet, somehow. I think I'm the only person that hasn't.

By then I'll probably be too busy with multiplayer to give a fuck. I'm guessing they'll eventually be released on PS3 anyway. Xbox will probably just get them first for a while.

I've gotten one RROD so far. I received a new one five days after sending it out (Call MSN in your area instead of the Xbox numbers). No console should break after a few months though. So no excuses.

Just watched the entire gameplay marathon on Gamespot.com. I almost ejaculated in my pants a few times. This game is fucking pwn.
Their review is up. First game since Ocarina of Time they gave a perfect 10. First game in abotu 10 years that IGN has vien a 10 too.

I preordered mine online like a dumbass, thinking it would get here today, but it doesn't ship until today. I paid for overnight shipping so if it's not here tomorrow I'm going to murder a RL hooker.
Sucks, cause I really am sick today, and work probably isn't gonna believe me, despite the fact that my game hasn't arrived yet :(
And the EBGames website is running slow as fuck too so I can't even check my order status right now to see if it shipped. It said I'd get an email when it shipped, and I haven't gotten it yet. Bah.

In my first multiplayer 16 player deathmatch I managed to get second place. Mainly because the first weapon I found was an AK and managed to gun down every player gunning for me..in their cars shooting their meager pistols at me.

I'm like 15% complete and it's already froze 3 times.. So fucking annoying.. Reports all over the net it seems of mostly PS3 freezes but reports of 360 ones too.. The auto save feature comes in handy trust me.

Froze twice here. But it fixed itself during it, just stayed frozen for about 2 minutes and picked right back up. Autosave is what causes the freezing, from what I'm noticing.
Some pretty cool missions, I'm about 22% complete.

Hey guys, theres a fix for the freezing.
If you are freezing, disconnect from Live or PSN.
The freezes are caused by Rockstars servers stuttering and lockingup on their end. The game is constantly streaming data to their servers, and the servers are messing up right now.
If you deprive the game of being able to get on the internet by shutting off Live or PSN, the game won't freeze any more.

I'm having the same problem, which I didn't have in previous games. The cars feel kind of Gran Turismo-ish to me when in 3rd person view. I almost always do better driving in 1st person mode in any driving game, but in this game I hate to do it, not only cause it's a pain in the ass to see what's ahead, but the crashes just don't do it justice from that view. Unless you ram into somoene head on and they fly through the windshield. No seat belt laws in Liberty City = win.

I rented it and played for a bit. Mildly entertaining. I will admit i've never been all that hooked on the series, though. You can only beat an old lady to death because you need spare change so many times before the novelty wears off.

I only drive Tourismos. The brakes suck for every car in this game, but I get to where I need to better in these. No worry about flipping over like I do with the SuperGT's. Didn't get into an all out battle with the cops yet. Gotta take some time to wreak some havoc. Why is there a toll booth at the end of the Brooklyn Bridge?

Easter Egg: Statue of Happiness
Head to the Statue of Happiness on Happiness Island via helicopter. Have the helicopter drop you off on the very top of the statue. You'll find a sign up there that states "No Hidden Content Beyond This Point", but it's a lie. If you head inside of the statue from this area, you'll find an actual beating heart inside the statue. How ridiculously creepy!
Easter Egg: Fire Truck Madness
If you boost a fire truck, press the fire button while driving around. This will allow you to shoot the super-powerful water cannon at anyone around you. Watching people react to getting shot with high-speed water is hilarious.
There's also maps showing all the pigeon locations, stun jump locations, armor locations and health locations.

Getting thrown into a random game (either I'm blind or there's no rules filters you can adjust) sucks sometimes, like when it's a 4 player deathmatch.....with all of Liberty City opened up.

I was playing the other night, and decided to get my car washed. So I go through the car wash, my car's all nice and shiny... and then it starts to rain, and I think to myself, "Shit! I just got it washed!"
My XBox gamertag is Hadiar, if anyone wants to go online. I haven't tried the online mode yet.
Am I the only one that is dissapointed with the new GTA (360 version). Game plays so sluggish to me.. it's just not as fun as it used to be. I'll force myself to play through it and hope it gets better, but a couple hours into the game, I'm not impressed.

I have not had any sluggish moments, not even with online play. I was actually shocked on how smooth the game runs with all the higher end graphics and shit all going on in the background.
The ONLY time I got laggy was when I was 5 stars with a rocket launcher killing cops in the heapfuls! There were so much carnage, my TV was like, "WHOA CHILL THE FUCK OUT!"

I have issues with the camera at times both driving and on foot. Makes it difficult to climb up ladders, avoid oncoming traffic, etc.

The only slugisshness I've noticed was from driving most cars in 3rd person mode, they just seem a lot heavier and sluggish than in the other GTA games, but I'm used to it now for the most part. I think it might just be that it's been so long since I played GTA, and have been playing Calling All Cars too much. I do wish the camera was a slightly more overhead though when driving in 3rd person.

My favorite thus far is escaping in a burning ambulance at a four star wanted level in the first area just past the toll and triggering a three car explosion that flung him into the ocean. Superbly awesome.

There's a total of five women you can date. Two are part of the main storyline. Three you meet online. Two you get on lovemeet, that nurse girl and the lawchick. If they like you enough, they give you special abilities. The third you have to meet on craplist, who gives you a really shitty ability, but she blogs about every date you go on, which are really funny to read.

It's all the way at the bottom. I was referring to Michelle actually being a government manipulated slut. It's there though. Then I called it with the way Light Orchestra's "Evil Woman" kept coming on each time you went driving or took her to a club place.
Plus the whole warm coffee "tell me interesting things"-video game orgasm was kind of indicative too. I fucking hate predicting shit.
The white abyss was to create racial tension between black abysses. And because I pressed the enter button, quite a few times, actually.

So, I trapped myself on a building after stealing a helicopter and getting four stars because I put it down on top of a building and used grenades and rockets to blow people up from afar... when they sent helicopters after me, I would shoot them with the rockets and usually they just crashed to the street. The last one though crashed right on top of my helicopter and amazingly didn't kill me, but it totaled my ride.
The only way off was to jump :(
