Has anyone else been inundated with spam phone calls for expired car warranties?
These fuckers called my home phone.
They've called my cell phone, which marketers aren't allowed to call.
They've called my work phone, which I've never used / listed outside of work.
They've called during the weekend, which again is against the law.
What the motherfuck do I have to do to get this shit to stop?

I'm guessing its the sex-worker ads you leave in telephone boxes.

My cell and home numbers are already on the national and state DNC registries; I'm also opted out of prescreened solicitations.
This is bullshit. Either this company's controls are fucking terrible or they just don't care about breaking the law.

They can call your cell phone now. Unless it's in your contract, they sold the database on cell phones a while ago. And same with weekends. They just aren't alowed to call after 9 or 10pm.
As for your work not sure on that. You give it out to anyone?
EDIT: Ah, you're on the DNC list, not sure on the cell then.
What are they trying to sell? There are plenty of ways around the DNC list.

Did you give them the numbers when you bought the car?
Have you told them you are not interested? I'm sure one of the lawyer types here on the PC can tell you how to get a cease and decist order.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. I'm sure they can inform you though, that they are indeed law students.

Ya, we've been getting slammed over the past week with that bullshit.
Get the number, report it to the FCC. Make sure you speak to a person and tell them to remove you from their list and inform them that a complaint has been made to the FCC.
They won't give up the name of the company ... which is illegal, just as calling a cell phone is. Calling you on the weekend is not, or wasn't the last time I checked. It also seems that it doesn't matter if you're on the national list .... they still call.
It's a scam to be sure ... it seems to crop up once or twice a year in a new location.

Nope ...
No person may
Initiate any telephone call (other than a call made for emergency purposes or made with the prior express consent of the called party) using an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice,
To any emergency telephone line, including any 911 line and any emergency line of a hospital, medical physician or service office, health care facility, poison control center, or fire protection or law enforcement agency;
To the telephone line of any guest room or patient room of a hospital, health care facility, elderly home, or similar establishment; or
To any telephone number assigned to a paging service, cellular telephone service, specialized mobile radio service, or other radio common carrier service, or any service for which the called party is charged for the call;
As for your work not sure on that. You give it out to anyone?
They're using an automated system that generates numbers .... not a list.
What are they trying to sell? There are plenty of ways around the DNC list.
They're trying to scam people into buying an extended warranty on their vehicle ... only it's a scam.
There are two ways around the national list ... ignore it (meaning you're an illegal operation trying to get identities and personal financial information) or move your operation outside of US controlled territories.

I fill out the do not call list like every 3 months and hardly ever get solicitation calls.
