Knockout/Mechanical Flares

Knockout flares are only eligible to be put onto blunt or crushing based weapons, right? So, a sword that -can- crush (but also slash and/or puncture) will not be applicable, correct?

However with mechanical flares, if it -can- slash it is acceptable, yes?

This inquiry is related to the recently rescheduled merchant. I would love if they could put knockout flares on a helm or shield that would work with the appropriate CMAN abilities. I mean, that's a "blunt" attack, isn't it?

Yeah, for example, you can push knockouts on a maul, but not a military pick.

Mechanicals can go on whatever.
