I was curious if anyone could lend some info about the gorget. I'm really interested in if it's true that it has reactive lightning flares AND crit padding like the description claims.

Also, failure to cast it. I currently have 38 ranks in MIU but have a 3% chance of failing. What are the effects on failing... I've been damaged, but curious if that's it.

IIRC, the two gorgets have two different flares. One is lightning, the other is fire. I do not know if it was crit padded. The gorget does protect against garrote though.

If you fail, I don't think there's any damage at all, just no mana used, and no mirrors. You don't activate it.

IRC it /they are definitely crit padded. Twice mana cost.

No, I'm getting damaged when I fail. Did rank 3 neck damage, but I didn't die, luckily. And it did use double the mana cost on that failure. I'm just wondering if it curses or anything as well.

But, I did just up Dhask to 40 ranks of MIU and now I can't fail unencumbered. I'll have to figure out the flare and/or padding/reduction on it.

Hmmm, I never failed, but then I was doubled in MIU. I never got a curse and I used it for over a year.

The ones in prime are double mana but no failure, both lightning and fire reactive, crit padded and garrote protection.. No mine is not for sale.
