Anyone buy cloths or shoes online? I am looking for some good online sources for clothing and whatnot. Mainly looking for some new dress shoes at the moment, but all the other stuff would be nice too.
Anyone have recommended websites?
And recommendations on some good dress shoes? Something thats maybe a cross between a dress shoe and a loafer? IE, feels casual and you can stand in them most of the day, but looks half dressy half casual half business etc etc..
Not a suit and tie shoe, but like (black) dockers and decent shirts. I say black dockers since thats about all I have ever bought, but I might expand to other colors at some point. Mainly don't like the blue/brown colors. Khaki color is not bad but I just don't wear them as much.
Trying to find something that has a straight sole, no raised heel. But isn't a loafer. No frilly things on the top, and hopefully not some thin ass hard leather that chafes at your ankles and heel.
Help?

Just for clothes in general I check J-Crew pretty often for their final sale stuff, I've got some really quality clothes they were closing out, but it's all no refund so you have to know you want it and it'll fit.

Nordstrom Rack.
It doesn't get any better - when it's good. You just have to know when you go...or just go fairly often. Some amazing stuff there for very low prices.

Cole Haan is my favorite brand for dress shoes. They're a little more expensive, but really comfortable.
I have two pairs of Steve Madden moccasins / loafers that I also really like. One pair I bought at Macy's for like $60, the other from Footlocker (hah) for like $30.

I am rough on shoes, they need to look good and they need to be comfortable. Johnston & Murphys (http://www.johnstonmurphy.com/catalog.aspx?CNAME=Footwear) hold up, look great and are as comfortable as sneakers.

Any guy who shops there is retarded... LOL @ paying 1,000$ for plain black dress shoes. Seriously, who honestly --that isn't insanely wealthy (and even then...)-- would ever waste their money on that crap?
@ AD:
If you're looking for quality and a decent price, the brand that Stretch recommended is great buy, in my opinion. I own two pairs of shoes from them, and they have both lasted/held up pretty well, for me.

try Kenneth Cole. they're a little more modern. Allen Edmonds is always good, though slightly more dressy. I also have a couple pair of Canalis that I've had forever. They just get better with age.

Try googling it, like the exact style and whatnot. Usually something will pop up.
Personally, I think guys in suits with a nice clean pair of black converse is the way to go.

HAH, like most adidas shoes, they had three stripes!!
But, these were some or the more plain shoes, mostly white with some blue stripes. A thick padded bottom. None of these nasty rainbow, glittery, clear, sparkly designs they seem to be going for now days.
I think I bought them like 10+ years ago. They were from 1998 or before I am pretty sure.
...I THOUGHT YOU MEANT SOMETHING LIKE SUPER FANCY AESTHETICDEATH.
Then yes, there still should be some around. Go look at the addidas main site.

Not that I'm partial to the products I sell or anything... except that a lot of men in my family have worn Bostonian and Rockport dress and business casual for shoes. So I trust both of those brands for quality. Rockport is especially well-known for its comfort, and while most of their line used to look like comfort shoes, a lot of the ones I sell now surprise longtime Rockport wearers with their modern looks. Bostonian doesn't ALWAYS focus on comfort, but the other day I had a long-time Rockport wearer switch to a pair of Bostonians with 2POD comfort.
I found Bostonian available through zappos at bostonian.zappos.com (http://bostonian.zappos.com/bostonian_Footwear.zhtml).
I just looked at rockport.com (http://www.rockport.com), and it looks like they're offering free shipping.
Sorry I can't really help you with websites for clothes shopping, but since I work in the men's department of a major store, I don't worry about shopping online for my husband.

if you're suggesting Rockport and Bostonian, then you probably work at Macy's and don't know shit about shoes.

Okay, Bostonians are cheap pieces of shit. They're made of crappy material, and they will tear your feet apart.
Rockport...few and far between as far as style. I'm more of a traditional cap-toe, but I still think if you're looking for the type of shoe you can wear with dress slacks and a nice shirt OR with jeans/t-shirt (a plain toe or a distressed cap-toe), go with K. Cole or Canali or Zegna or Boss.
Hell, check out Mephisto. I have a pair of their Hurrikan's, and they're like wearing socks they're so comfortable. Then again, it all depends on your style.

I'll reiterate Johnson & Murphy. I bought a pair a few years ago and they are more comfortable than most sneakers.
I just bought this pair

Shoes from Neiman Marcus are $500. Last dress shoes I bought were Ferragamo from there there. If you're not retarded, then dress shoes will last at least a year if not more. Most people on this board spend more on Gemstone in a year.

yeah, i wasn't going to say anything about this, but sure...most of my dress shoes cost between $400 and 700. That is not to say that they're better or worse than what other people buy, but I've found that the shoes I buy (and the brands I buy) in this range are both stylish and resilient, lasting me quite a long time.
I buy about 1-2 new pairs a year. I've owned some of them for almost 5 years now. If you buy good shoes made of good material (think...NOT rockport and bostonian), take care of them, and don't overwear them--get your shit shined every few wears (or shine them yourself) and don't wear them every day (I wear each pair about once every 6-8 days)--then your shoes will last a LONG time.
Allen Edmonds actually has a program where you can send in AE shoes and get them stripped, resoled, and sent back to you for $100. I've done this with all my AE shoes, and it really is like getting a new pair of shoes back.

Eh, I'm obviously not a guy but I will spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes for the simple fact that I have to wear shoes that won't hurt me.. even on my days off if I wear shoes that give me blisters/foot pain, I'll suffer for the next week at work since I am on my feet the entire time. I'd imagine for guys who are on their feet at work, it's the same story.
Really, not spending the money to get something quality can destroy your feet, ankles, and legs if you're in an active or labor intensive job. I think of all things you have to shop for clothing wise, shoes are the most worth spending a lot of money on.
Great bot bump on this thread...

Retards that think just because it's labeled a dress shoe it is a dress shoe. I also noticed no one mentioned the use of shoe trees in this thread. Am I the only one that buys a new pair of shoe trees with every new pair of shoes? I think they are worth their weight in gold for making sure a quality shoe lasts, they also make spit shines easier since they keep leather from creasing.

I have two sets of trees and I mainly only use them for when I'm traveling or if my shoes get wet.
I take horrible care of my shoes though. I never really learned how to shine them. I usually just get cheap ($80) shoes and wear them til they die and then get a similar set. I occasionally remember to take them to a shoe shop to have them shined but not more than one every month or two.
If I got a $300 pair of shoes I'd most likely take better care of them... or at least learn how to shine them.
