So, out of curiosity, how do mattocks do when compared to mauls, and what sort of pole or twohander would be reliable for a hastey wizard?
War Mattock .550 | .450 | .425 | .375 | .275 | 7 | C | 60/145
Maul .550 | .425 | .425 | .375 | .300 | 7 | C | 60/145
Almost identical across the board, you're not going to notice a huge difference either way. Both are crush only.

I used polearms. I used an altered naginata and a lance. Naginata was mostly because of the alter I had on it, that and an 8x flaring weapon is just fun :) Lance was so unfair. For 2h claids are good for raw stopping power, remember your AS is lower but you're knocking things over first with ewave/callwind/tremors/etc.

As a wizard, I think it would be best to use the weapons with the highest DF you can find, as after a certain point you can bring the RT down to 1 or 2 seconds at most. Perfect Awl-pikes seem like a great choice.
I imagine an archer build that can aim shots to the eye in one second would be fairly deadly as well.
