Well everyone it is decided. As of tomorrow the American Government will own my life. I should not be going off to basic training until April or May. I will have an exact date for you who care in the near future. After that I will be gone from here as well as the game for anywhere from 4months to a year depending on what the training for my specialty requires.

Army, My MOS is counterintelligence, I dont know as of yet what exactly ill be doing because there is a wide range of specialties that I can be placed in, as well as I don't believe I will be able to talk about what I am doing after im in.

If you require the same clearance I had you'll have fun doing that paperwork. Do yourself a favor and keep a copy of your SF86 and EPSQ file.

Because I had the highest security clearance in my unit I got voluntold to process security clearances for everyone else that needed one in my unit. Lots of paperwork and bullcrap to sift through.

Counter intel is a good MOS, fast promotions, good assignments, etc. That was my secondary choice behind small computer system specialist.

Six months basic? Who the hell lied to you?!

Three months basic training, then MCT (shorter version of SOI which is the grunt training) then MOS school. Depending on the MOS you could be on an army base like Fort Lost in the woods or maybe a Marine Corps base like Camp Lejeune. Only MOS schools I know for certain are communications/computer related and they are in 29 Palms CA. That and if you're gonna be a mechanic in air wing you could end up at a Navy Air Station like Oceana or Pensacola.

Our boot camp is the longest but it's not six months.

I never thought about it like that. And 6 month Marine basic, good friend of mine, Redion in game, went throught it down in camp Pendleton for 5 months before getting a medical discharge.

Well thats not the standard time Overlord. It might be 6 months if you get injured and have to re-do portions of the training. That happened to me and a 4 month basic turned into a 9 month basic. It sucked.

Well all is well and done
I got everything I wanted and Should be stationed in Huston<but not promised so if I must I will be with a combat group>. I will be around untill July before I ship out but as of 4:22pm on 20031223 I am owned by the united states goverment. so fear not one and all I will not leave you just yet. Once i go to Ft lenordwood or what not in yes of all places Missouri (from what i hear The Best place to do basic ::smirks::> then I am off to MI scool to become a CI Agent. which will last me another 20 weeks +\- a few weeks.

So is my life and the path I have chosen I thank you all for your support.
