Who goes to the gauntlet?

(This is inspired by a conversation we were having at work)

Anyone who has seen Real World/Road Rules challenge knows what I am talking about. In case you haven't, I'll fill you in. You are on a team (Let's say it's boards versing each other and it's PC vs Klaive) and at the end of each mission you have to vote someone on your team into the Gauntlet.

The gauntlet is a challenge where one person from PC and one from Klaive battle against each other and whoever loses goes home. So basically it becomes who on your team are you willing to sacrifice to the gauntlet with a chance they won't be returning.

So who on our PC team would you sacrifice? (We had a list of 3 at work that would immediatly go)


(And I really did try to remember as many people as possible. it's hard to think on command)

Well it would all depend what type of battle they are competing in. In a verbal spar i would probably choose Stray because in many arguments i have seen him in he was very knowledgeable so id want him on my side. If it was more a physical battle then im not sure, dont know how anyone stacks up except for a few of the military people.

I chose people on who i think would win as opposed to who i would want to see leave.

Yeah, from what Leloo described, you want to send the person who you think would lose, and you want them off your team cause they suck..heh.

That's what I gather from it atleast, as I never watched that particular show.

Depends. On some shows they voted who they thought would win. While others they didn't want to maybe lose their best player so they voted whoever did worst. At other times they just voted who they didn't like.

I have not seen it, either. I do not care for the "reality shows" (a la Survivor) for the most part. However, the "gauntlet" sounds like this show's equivalent to the "tribal council" used in Survivor to rid the team of members they do not want around. ;)

In order to know who I would send to win, I would need to know what the "gauntlet" would be about. If it was a strictly physical thing there are some here who would be THE choice. If it were a contest of wit, others would be more appropriate. A contest of will, or of intellect, would warrant still different choices. :D

You don't know what the Gauntlet will be. You roll dice and it could land on anything from climbing a rope, putting a puzzle together, to hanging upside down the longest. it becomes what you think is best... is your strategy to vote off those who are weak or those who are your strongest?
