With a fat ass cat... table.. and sliding glass door. Resulting in 12 staples across my scalp and two more fucking trips to the ER.

I think it's time to buy health insurance after all. Talk about timing and just running my trap about choosing not to have it.

My guess is he stepped in/tripped over a fat cat connected with a table and fell into a glass door.

I lol in your general direction.

Should've gotten stitches. The staples will leave scars worse than stitches will.

And damn, go cats!

(Seriously though, ouch dude. Sorry to hear it. Not having health insurance sucks. Here's hoping you heal up fast and it doesn't cost too much!)

The best part is that when his hair doesn't grow where the scar is and he has to explain why he has that scar, his story is gonna suck so bad he'll get laughed at.

"I tripped over a cat and fell into a door." <-- rofl

Basically I had taken my meds and was watching some baseball dozing off. Think it was a chardonnay I was drinking (doctor says it's better for my blood pressure or some shit) and that fat fucker kept biting my hair and meowing to the point I finally got up to feed that cow.

He decides to get under my feet on the way to the feeding trough causing me to trip putting all my weight on the corner of the table not made to hold a super tank abbott strike from a 230lb man and broke the table leg resulting me going down fast spun around and put my elblow thru the sliding glass door. Not the new safety type this is old school like 1/2 inch thick murder someone type that's illegal to install anymore.

Butterflied the elbow up (that the ER said would have needed at least 25 stiches)and starting cleaning all the glass up except the one big piece left up top.. get to that tomorrow.

So got most of it up except some out on the back porch I scoot under the pane (door won't slide with all the fucked up glass) and whilst scooting back under I came up to soon resulting in a scalping and at least a pint o blood strewn everywhere.

I looked like I was an extra in Braveheart there was so much blood.. my poor kids were screaming and crying the entire time. Good stuff.

At least my life is interesting lately. Being sober is weird enough as it is.

75 milligrams of librium prolly didn't help the coordination coming back through. It was literally right at about 5'7 and I'm 5'9 I just can up too early...oh well.

As someone else mentioned earlier..get an HSA..granted...you still woulda paid..but..you got tax benefits for it..
You pick how big you want your deductible to be..I think mine is 5k..they have larger deductibles now..basically you can put 2500/year into you individual account..more if you have kids and a family plan..then it acts like a regular IRA for tax purposes.
HSA health plan is there for BIG stuff...in the mean time..I write my checks for my dentist appointments out of my account..hell..if I buy band-aids at the store..I pay for those out of that money..just make SURE you save those receipts...Ya know..I bet you can pay for elective stuff like boob jobs out of that money..as long as its for yourself....Hell..if I get a little lipo....Hmmm its a plan...I paid off my braces with mine...
The idea that health care should be free...ummm....what fuckin planet are they from? the bandages cost money..the machines cost money..the doctors need to get paid so they can eat and pay back their gazillion loans...people think the government should pay for it..well HELLO..that means SOMEONE is paying for it at a rate of 3 times what it should cost after the rate gets blown up twice what it should from the extra paperwork of insurance.
Anyway..some might think...well...if I gotta pay the deductible..what good is that..Just remember...either ya PAY extra in premiums..OR...you fund your account and hope ya dont need it...10 years with no big stuff and you have over 20k sittin there for emergencies..I can actually even invest mine in the market..hehe

Actually it barely did due to my blood pressure meds and thinners etc.

I grabbed a compress out of the first aid.. a washcloth folded over and a towel on stacked all on top and still almost passed out due to loss.

The doctor was cool tho..."Man I haven't seen this much blood since Nam'... someone fetch me a stapler."

Most High Deductible plans are lower. The IRS requires a minimum deductible of 1,500.00 per year. Once you pay the deductible it works like ordinary health insurance, in my case a PPO that covers just about everything. The benefit of an HSA is you essentially have income tax-free medical expenses. Add that your savings account bears tax-free interest and portions of it can be devoted to certain investments (again tax free as long as the proceeds are used for qualified medical expenses).
