some slightly dented imflass field-plate
This ancient set of imflass field-plate shows the dents and marks of long use and repeated repairs. The uneven neck of the breastplate has been sanded and polished to smooth out the jagged edges where a helm once connected to the armor. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
+22, heavily crit padded half plate (Plate coverage over all but head, which is covered by chain), zested, lightened to just 25 lbs (lighter than stock hauberk), permanently resistant to crushing attacks while vulnerable to shocking attacks.
Here are the zests I've discovered:
>wea fie
You work your way into some slightly dented imflass field-plate, buckling and tightening the straps.
>rub fie
You gently polish the dented imflass field-plate with your hand.
>knock fie
You knock loudly on some slightly dented imflass field-plate.
>pull fie
You pull at the neckline of your field-plate.
>rem fie
Unfastening a multitude of buckles, you carefully remove your dented imflass field-plate.
Probably more. Great paladin armor, leaving the head uncovered by plate for easier casting, or add a helm for full plate coverage.

Got folks asking about a cash price. I'm guessing everyone is wanting to save silvers for the upcoming auction. I'd take $350 cash or 40m. for the armor. Thanks for the interest.

Why is the asking price so high? Are the resist/vulnerable things worth that much?

<Whistles> I sold that armor for 1.5mil. Didn't know padding added 38million or so to the worth. Maybe I should have gotten it padded first! Or maybe I just sold too cheaply in the first place.. who knows.

I struggled in deciding where to price the armor, but in the end settled on 40m. Here's my reasoning:
I'd say the sum of the attributes determined my asking price rather than any single one.
1. 5x imflass half plate is common.
2. The alter makes it unique, if still fairly common.
3. Scripted altered 5x imflass half plate is much less common.
4. Scripted altered 5x imflass half plate that is heavily crit padded is very uncommon, and should bring somewhere around 20m-25m in the current market by my estimation.
5. Altered 5x imflass half plate that is heavily crit padded and has the permanent crush resistance is extremely rare, and should command a premium above an identical set without the resistance, say at least 25m-30m.
6. Then there's the fact that it's been lightened at least six times to the point that it weighs less than a set of hauberk. What's that worth?
Combining all these attributes into a single set of armor makes it an impressive specimen, in my opinion.
I've been told I should hold out for 50m, and now it's been implied that I'm a little high (insert stoner joke here). All this said, I think 40m is a fair asking price. If someone wants to make an offer, please do. I'm a reasonable guy.
*As for getting the armor in its unpadded state for 1.5m, I was rather shocked that it didn't go for more than that. I fully expected to have been outbid, but would have gone as high as 10m if I had been. 25 lb half plate is rare, let alone a 5x altered set with scripts and crush resistance.
Appreciate the interest, happy to answer any further concerns.

Half plate is only on the rare-ish side because people don't use it.
I'm probably one of the few people that chooses to wear it.

rare is rare, regardless of why, eh? Just means it'll take the right buyer, I suppose.

Yes, but rarity doesn't always equal a higher price.
Not that I think your price is good or bad, it's whatever someone's willing to pay.

It could'av gone for more if I asked, i guess.. AS the farmer said, it's rare because it's not that in demand..there for it is better to ask for a set price than an auction, like I did.. I don't know if 40 mil is a good or bad price, but if you have more patience than me..then you might just get it.

I sold some 5x (+25) HCP aug plate for 25mil that was scripted and lightened to 12lbs for someone not too long ago. And 25mil was tough to get, most the offers were in the 19-22 range.

Recently sold some 4x hcp eonake half plate for 30m in about ten minutes (see my "Stuff" thread under this heading). One less enchant, no zests, no resistances, weighed ten more pounds than this set, and folks posted that it was underpriced. I think I'm in the ballpark at 40m, and it is just an asking price. Lesser offers are certainly entertained. Thanks for all the advice tho. Nice to know folks are so concerned about my armor's asking price. ;)

You just sold +23 HCP half plate for 16m
The eonake only went so high because it was eonake, and people are stupid crazy over that apparently.
If you can get your asking price, great. Means we can start charging more too. But I don't feel the price is right.

In his defence, I have been offered 20 mil for that half plate since I bought it from him. He also said in his other auction that it was more then likely well underpriced.

Glad you got it sold but I thought the price was high due to the resistances being completely backwards. No one able to wear full plate is going to give a rat's ass about being hit by a physical attack while getting lightning critted in plate is something you want to avoid.

Wow so there's a whole thread about this armor. Wrath, I can't find you in game. I want to ask a couple more questions about it?
