Those who seek out the quiet place will find themselves able to check on their progress towards earning enough favor to advance on the Path of Enlightenment, as well as check to make sure their own favor does not draw short.
In addition, for those with a talent for singing well, they may learn more of the history of the monastery of River's Rest.

Most excellent. Know quite a few people who've been wanting this for a long time now.

People still live in RR?
What happens when you die? Or does everyone there have five accounts?

What happens when you die? Or does everyone there have five accounts? When I was there, pretty much everyone would announce where they were hunting before they went out, either in one of the major nodes, on the amulet, or both.

Uh, yeah... plenty of people still live in RR.
People either think on the amulet or tell whoever has been around the Commons where they'll be hunting... or people will just randomly locate the dead people they (the locator's) recognize from seeing in town.

This is great. And yes, people still live in RR. Some of us even like it.
