Was just posted on the officials by Kithus' player, and it appears to be an update from sometime today, since I recall checking the command earlier today and it was the usual.

In the skill of forging - crafting, you are a highly skilled laborer with 436 ranks.
In the skill of forging - one handed edged, you are a novice with 14 ranks.

ARTISAN SKILL now gives you rank counts. So much easier, I think. Now you know for sure where you are.

I used/lockered the same forging apron (waaaay back) because someone told me ranks were coded into aprons. D'oh.
