There is a special way. However I find the easiest way is to click on whatever map you want to print, then copy/paste to Word. Resize then print at your leisure.

If you have XP, just save the map to your hard drive and open it, windows will use the fax viewer which makes it a page nice and pretty looking automatically, then just print it, that's how I do it. I'm not sure if the later versions of windows have a viewer or not, but I think 98 does.

Perhaps I am missing something or simply have been printing his maps wrong all this time.

Can you not simply use PSP to view and print?

I think I have used picture it as well.

They both seemed to work fine.

What problems are you all having while printing?

Printshop Pro works fine too. That's what I use at home, but at work I use Irfanview because I can download/install without it needing to add anything to the registry, which I can't do because of the damned network.

That's an interesting way of doing it that I never thought of.

On my website is an FAQ, a third of which is dedicated to how to print the maps.

My recommended way:

Download Irfanview. It's free, small, and excellent (www.irfanview.com). It's a great photo viewer, and I use it for my digital photographs as well as the maps.

Or you could just have a monitor big enough and the inate ability to hit alt+tab.... i never printed out the maps...just certain guides and beastiarys. To this day i still just keep them on my monitor makes it a hell of a lot easier to resize whenever i want simply by using the scroll wheel *shrug*

Heh, you can do that if you only want to see part of the map at once. There's no video cards or displays that can do a resolution of 3150x2400. The most I've ever seen is about half that, which equates to about a quarter of a map.

True indeed but how much of the map do you need to see before moving onwards? Great job by the way have always admired your work lol
And they do exist, just not for the commercial market. I rarely need to use maps anyway kind of have a lot of elanthia memorized. Typical places i use maps are parts of illistim and parts of teras. Whoot for being a Gs junkie ....Bah
