I guess it's not Gemstone specific but I've been known to refer to throwing something away as deleting or erasing it.
I’ve had the dreams too. But I’ve never been able to actually read anything in a dream. I’ve tried but it gets all jumbled. The text dreams I have usually go like this: I can see the color of the window and the text scrolling and I’m thinking “Fuck I just died again” or some other situation recollection.

I've had a few text dreams the last year. In the years prior I've never had any. I can usually read them clearly. The dreams are a mix of text and a visualization of the text. They also have short story lines that make sense but are completely pointless. Unfortunately, I still remember some of the scenarios very vividly. They're really off the wall wacko. This week we went to Luray Caverns, the biggest underground caverns on the East Coast (that's open to the public, anyway) and around the time our tour guide told us that there were a lot of images we could see in the stone if we looked, I saw a formation that made me think of...a wraith *stares*
The next day, we took a "short" hike through the mountains (longest mile I've ever walked, though), and as we were maneuvering over all the rocks in the trail and crossing the little stream that eventually went over the falls we were going to see, I kept thinking of the trail from the Landing to EN and how Strength and Constitution should play a factor into whether a character might have a roundtime having to climb UP and DOWN the steeper parts.

You make up lies to explain what you do when you're 'busy' to your friends,
since it's just too horrible to admit you're a nerdo.
I kind of did that one summer for a week-long festival. I paid for it and didn't want to miss any of it, so when my friends kept calling I told them all I was sick. lol :shame:
They all knew that I played GS and i'm sure i'd explained it briefly to a bunch of them at some point, but I wasn't about to admit that I was staying in and missing an entire week of fun for GS. That was just TOO nerdy.

I generally say, "I'm nerding tonight, fuck off."
EDIT: However, I rarely ever pass up the opportunity to go out.

This is true. If he did he might miss an opportunity to get into a fight* to defend the honor of a trashcan.

I'm trying to book a trip for 2 weeks at the end of August, and in looking at my calendar, I started to think about in game meetings/event schedules/CHE submission deadlines and what I would need substitutes for.

I’ve had the dreams too. But I’ve never been able to actually read anything in a dream. I’ve tried but it gets all jumbled.
This is a great way to enter a lucid dreaming state.

Me: So have you watched that movie yet?
Friend: Yeah, it was allright. I liked the part where blah blah blah
Me: go trail
Friend: What?
Me: Ignore that.
lol... done that
another thing i do when playing GS a lot is tend to put a ' in front of all my IMs
This one always makes me stop and ponder wtf is wrong with my brain:
When at work and wanted to list the directories from a command prompt (DOS, cygwin, etc) and I type "l" or "look" instead of "dir".
I've dont this so many times and it freaks me out.

Easy and common one... When typing on AIM, you type a ' before everything.
I have a thing, for some reason (mainly in the shower, god knows why) I think to myself 'Prep 702' ... very often. Not every day but maybe once a week or two - just 'Prep 702' over and over and over again.
lol.. I do the exact same thing.
In fact, I'm quite sure I did it early this morning in the shower as well... "prep 702" and "prep 720"
I have a friend who also plays a Sorcerer and we both randomly send txt messaged or emails to each other that say "prep 720, cast at cronuss" and such cause it will randomly pop into our heads.

I always do ls instead of dir because of Unix, so I just alias them both to dir

So I ate Potbelly's for lunch today. I went up to fill my drink cup and couldn't get any ice, coworker told me to just shift the ice lever around.
Then the freaking SHIFT verb from who-knows how long ago suddenly popped into my head. I was a little excited of this random piece of knowledge that popped back up, until I remembered the people I was with would have absolutely no idea what I was talking about.
And the self-realization of my inner dork set in, yet again.

And they removed the verb too. isn't that gay?

Going to see a movie and thinking to myself of the costumes, "Now that would be an amazing alteration!"
I have also had the dreaded half-text/half-"real" dream. Typically after EG when my brain feels like mush.

Back in the 90s when I was a huge GS nerd I used to say "laugh" instead of laughing. That's so embarrassing.
God yes. When my buddies and I all started in the 90s, we had BAD habits about hanging around before classes, conversating, saying "laugh" or "chuckle" instead of actually commiting the act.
Mad and I are still bad to this day about using GS commands in IMs.
I also tend to say "belch long" when belching.
you want to put a thing like guildmaster or forger on your resume, because you spent more time on it than some of your college classes
lol, QFT.

I actually did afk-script my old job and would go around and socialize in the workplace. I miss that job.
I never actually say the commands out loud, but I'll sometimes think them or wish that I could do things like set a gold ring instead of having to walk to my car.

Yes...I still say actions out loud. WTF is wrong with me.
I distinctly recall saying "laugh", "roll laugh", "chuckle", and other things instead of actually doing them out loud. Sigh.

It was a WTF moment. They stopped fighting long enough for my teenage son to call me a noob. Although the teenagers show an interest in Gemstone, my spouse and I don't allow them to play. I recall what a life suck the game was when I first found it, and would rather my kids have a chance at social interaction outside the computer room.
