LICH script idea... not Linux... Man I have Linux on the brain ><
I'd change it or delete the post & recreate it but it won't let me
I'm not sure how easy/hard feasable/infeasable this is. But what about a script that gathered bestiary data.
It could keep track of what critters AS, DS, TD, CS, Maneuvers, You can even go much deeper... what they attack with, how quickly they attack (eg, coyotes attack much faster than orcs), what armor they can wear (via AvD), their 'squishy' factor (eg, trolls seem to have natural damage resistance), susepability to certain types of spells, slashing, blunt, piercing weapons... etc.
You could even do things like box drop ratio (which changes drastically, I know), spawn times, spawn locations (most critters have a different message when they spawn), found in locations, 'runnyness' (how likely they are to run away).
Then that data is all compiled on a all the mobs you kill (perferably only mobs that were encountered, and killed completely alone so you would have the best data), then put on a centralized server or put on a wiki automatically.
If everybody using Lich did this we'd have the bestiary finished with all the data you would want on each critter.
Then link that to the bestiary script so we don't just get the level, but the whole gambit of information for each mob.
You would have to compensate for ambush DS pushdowns, their health getting lower and their AS and DS fluxuating...
What do you think?
I surely aint gunna write it, since I'm a moron and it'd be 250000 lines when it should be 12 or something. (I have as much chance of writing it as I do of writing the picker's script I described a few pages back LOL). But I think there's good data to be had there.
