Cup Final Day

I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it!

Our team got into the cup final and today is the day. First time ever in our club's history.

Just had a really excitable, manic, jumping-around-the-living-room episode that, if anyone saw, would have been likely to see me carted off by the men in white coats.

It is also an evening game, so we are playing under floodlights, which is pretty awesome. Plus I never had a winner's medal before, so really hoping we can pull this off.

I did win second prize in a road safety poster competition once...it's not the same though.

Fucking referees.
We had one of our players sent off after three minutes which meant we had to play 87 minutes with one less player on the pitch than the other team. No mean feat. We did well first half, holding them out well till just before half time when some stupid fucker (i.e. me) missed a catch that was probably going wide anyway and deflected the ball into my own goal.
So shitty to give a goal away like that.
But did we lay down and die? Fuck no.
We came out second half and battled like there was no tomorrow. We had them penned in their half for most of the rest of the game and after having a goal disallowed for a dubious offside decision, knew that our ten players were in with a chance.
We scored the equaliser midway through the half from a free kick and our left back scored her first ever goal for the club to give us the cup. Im so happy and yet so drunk as well. Best feeling ever (from a game of football).

I've done the exact same thing, attempt to deflect but batted it in when it would've gone wide.

She was sent off for tripping the opposition's forward and she was the last defender. Was harsh and could have gone either way...but the referee had assessors there to judge his refereeing so was being a prick.

He almost sent off the opposition player though, he showed the red card to her first...which was hilarious.

You'll all forget that shit in a bit anyway and hopefully the sent off player doesn't care, since you got there in the end.
