This thing is really amazing. It looks like a real quadruped walking around - especially in the part where it falls on the ice. Reminded me of Bambi.

The part where it jumps is pretty amazing too. Terminator is not far behind.

Thats freaking sexy. The range of terrain it could cover is pretty impressive. A ride inside an oversized version looks like a recipe for sea sickness though.

I love it when the guy kicks it. I want that thing to turn around and spit battery acid at him.

Holy crap.

It almost looks like it has two people driving it though... one person, facing backwards, in the front, and one person facing forwards in the back.

But damn, that's pretty crazy. Hopefully we can have swarms of those over in Iraq/Iran soon and be able to bring all our soldiers home.

This video is very old, guess it made it's way around the tubes again.

They need to make a hockey team of these things.

Considering the terrain, tracked and wheeled drones would probably be more efficient.

The future weapons show on Discovery displayed a 6 wheeled drone that could stay level driving along inclines and could traverse wide expanses of rocky terrain all by shifting wheel configurations.

This thing would be better for areas with heavy foliage ... but I don't see it taking the place of det cord and choppers for deployment and evac. Just sending it in as a scout for trip wires, playing mule, and playing unmanned resupply in areas impossible for air travel.

It's still very impressive when you think about similar clips of cutting edge robotics 10-15 years ago .... platforms on pogo sticks and miniature robots that responded to light.

I'd rather have a UAV. Why walk when you can fly?

That thing is just damn creepy.

That would be fucking comedy gold right there. I just about pissed myself I was laughing so hard when I pictured that.

Mine will have a leg hump feature and dispense great emotional trauma upon the fragile psyche of the masses. Like this guy:
