More lockmastery help

Back when I first started lockmastery, I could pick using any lockpick and still get a rep. Then, after a train or two, I started getting the "you feel this lockpick is too low in quality" message and didn't get reps with anything below glaes. As I get older and better trained, it gets harder to find boxes to get reps with. Is there any way around this, or is this just the way it is?
