So... angry... (Swordfyre and Devishal)

Tonight, Hayrani came in and announced she would be doing the first five room order, five spun, and then one person picked by the whole crowd.

She picked three people, Swordfyre, Lysistrata (me,) and Devishal to listen to people's votes for her.

There was some worry (mostly mine it seems) as to people cheating by whispering to all three listeners with one vote and padding the vote for their person. I said something about this five times, both in whispers to my fellow counters and out loud so that everyone would know what was going on.

The merchant even whispered to me suggesting a way to handle it, by leaving the room and having others come and vote to us one at a time then come back with a decision. They didn't listen to that, and I think she whispered it to the other two as well. Another person suggested we divide it up into alphabet and I passed that along as well. Swordfyre and Devishal didn't even react to it.

Swordfyre completely ignored everything I said, not responding to me in any way until I finally asked him if he could even hear me. He just kept announcing votes and nominations (favoring his 'brother' the halfing - Swordfyre is a Faendryl dark elf.)

The nomination that I made, Tuit, received many votes, enough to tie with the two finalists, but they wrote him off as 'obviously being a mule' because why would five people vote for him when he has nothing, which is why I nominated him for the alter?

In the end, the halfling won. I am so angry, I could projectile vomit! At Swordfyre, if handy. I'd provide the log, as I have it, but there's no way to edit it to make it less scrolly, because the crowd and the noise are part of it. However, if anyone would like to see it... welcome to it.

Anyone else think Swordfyre and Devishal are useless, dried up cow udders?

That would seem to be a method of choosing that just invites problems. I'd blame the merchant. I have never seen that sort of thing before, and I hope never to.

Incidentally, I was at the same event this evening. And it was definitely disorganized to say the least. Well that part anyhow. The only part I did agree with was that the two finalists roshambo'ed their way to the alterer. Which that at least I thought, couldnt be rigged, so I thought that part was pretty fair.

I didn't realize so many people from PC were Vaalorians. Anyway to stay on topic i have had run ins with devishal, and most of the time they havent been pleasent. I havent interacted with Swordfyre yet but have seen him around. My views are also somewhat opinionated as I let nobody who is not a Dhe'nar raise or heal me, so that irked Devishal.

Devishal the point isn't whether or not the person was a "mule" or locker character, the point is the choosing of the third person was supposed to be fair.

There was just as good a chance the person wasn't a locker character but maybe just a secondary character rolled up that they've only recently decided to start playing. Hell I have a couple of characters rolled up from the AUTO ROLLER days that I've never really played too much. They're not locker characters, they're just characters I'm not playing right now. That may very well change at any given time...and I'd be pretty pissed to have someone jerk me out of something just because they decided they'll assume my character is a locker character.

But like Kurili said, at the end of the day, the ultimate blame lies with the merchant running the event, moreso than Devishal and the other one. That was just a piss poor judgement call by the GM. A GM should know that you can't do things like that to select someone for a service at a merchant event, as you have..hmm..how do I say...less than honest people who pull all sorts of crap to get what they want. Hopefully that won't happen again.

I'm not advocating anything said in this thread in any way. But if I were on a panel, I also would have picked someone without a last name (even though you can hide it) because said person probably has not been around as long as someone showing a last name.

On a side note, I wouldn't be on a panel anyway because I'm not a brown-nosing merchant chaser. But that's just my opinion.

I travelled all the way from teras.. to landing to Ta'illistim to Ta'vaalor. That is a long trip. I was waiting the whole night for her till 5 am and she didn't show up And I had a flu and a fever too. To top it off, premium alteration scroll screwed me over.. I've been waiting for a month and a half for it. I wanted to get rid of my armor's hideous bard alteration.. Then the next day, I waited for her the whole evening.. then suddenly I heard that she had her final pick already.. and I was furious because I couldn't be in the next day. I was bitching and whining.. and everybody hated me :rolleyes: I was roleplaying out my frustration, but explaning politely to hayrani in whisper what happened.. but Tifang and aezir and some others were threatening me. ahahah. not that I cared. Anyway.. in conclusion.. I was a bitch. :P but I don't hold grudges coz I forgot about it 5 minutes later.. but apparently.. the citizens of ta'vaalor do.

There have been MANY people killed by merchants, Devishal Dont be too impressed with yourself. Annoying a merchant to the point of killing, not to mention annoying everyone else at the merchant who also PAYS to be in GS is not a thing to be proud of in my opinion.

Because we all know that all anyone ever does is train. There's no chance someone could spend any amount of time, let alone a year, doing something other than hunting, running messages, or making iron. And this mystery activity they could do would have no way of creating friendships of any kind.

Ahh, Well, They split up when she was 23 trainings because I changed services and they wouldnt let you take the characters with you.

We had an argument about him being power hungry and training twice as fast as her and I decided not to have Kelcie be with him. he went to Teras and that was the last I saw of the real original Dryxler.

He was always on my mind though, good friend to have at the time.

As I previously stated, I dont give a fuck, me and how long Ive been playing isnt even an issue.
