I always thought the MGS games were based off the Escape from NY/LA movies.

This has real potential. I always liked the story of MGS only reason I played it. I hope they don't fuck it up.

Oddly I did with that other movie posted up here this morning. Doomsday movie or something.

Just the main character. Snake Plissken. Both Plisskens are very similiar.

I always thought the MGS games were based off the Escape from NY/LA movies.

I know a guy who's an MSG FREAK and he said something along the same lines. He also said that they've (I have no idea who "they" are) have been talking about making a MSG movie for like a decade and he'll believe it when he sees a trailer. Kind of reminds me of the rumors that spread from time to time that a movie based on Neil Gaimen's "Death" graphic novel is in the works.
